I’ve read rifles are a better choice than handguns for home defense. More likely to hit their target. Not as good of a choice as a shotgun though.
I’m not sure it’s a major life skill, and presumably something more innate than learned, but I can’t wink or really control my eyes independently. I can shut my left eye a little more the right, but I’m squinting out the right. I can’t shut the right at all without closing the left. I’ve been made fun of for looking…
I can do that but I could never tell you how many days are in a month without looking at a calendar (except February).
I’m pretty similar, I touch type (slowly), but I mostly don’t do it from a fixed home row, and rely on the good fingers more. Pinkies pretty much never get used except for shift, ctrl etc. Often my left one hangs on the edge of the keyboard/laptop to provide some position guidance.
I hang up all my shirts, because yeah they really don’t seem like they can be folded. When I go on trips requiring nice shirts I basically just assume I’ll have to iron at the hotel, because there’s zero chance I can fold a dress shirt well enough to avoid getting horribly wrinkled in a suitcase.
I’m a stander (well not standing fully upright, but you know). I’ve tried sitting down, and I really can’t see how it would work unless I had an extra elbow in my arm. Really though, I prefer to just do a quick wipe and then shower for maximum cleanness (I guess I should try a bidet?)
Yep. I read something recently saying that some cyclist are opposed to using tire levers, and I’m like even using levers and considerable strength, it’s a huge pain to get the bead over the edge of the wheel! I can’t imagine doing it without levers. It takes me a while to do it, but thankfully it’s not a common task.
Yeah, if I try to use a cigarette lighter, I can get it to light, but it’s mostly just awkward flailing until a get a flame. I normally use one of those wand lighters (no problem with strike matches, but it’s easier to just press a button an have it work, plus I’m old enough to remember when restaurants all gave out…
Ohio passed a bill last year requiring that cursive be taught: Kasich Signs Bill Mandating Ohio Students Learn Cursive
On the other hand: Mourn The Mets
I did the same thing... And yet..
Not even that, it looks like they are just off in their own world filling prescriptions, that just go into the baskets, and not to any of the people waiting in line, or being called out in the store.
I’ve waiting in a lot of CVS lines, and I’m not sure I’ve ever heard anyone ask a question about a med, or be in the private (that’s not at all private) area for questions. Some concerns about costs, or getting copay cards applied or whatever, but mostly it feels like even when they have a long line of people they…
Oops, I meant CR2032, but regardless yeah, there are rechargeable ones (technically the rechargables are ML2032, and I think LIR2032 are the same form factor but 3.6V instead of 3V).

That’s a valid question. I use all rechargeable, except for the CR3032s (you can get rechargeable versions of these, but given that they tend to be used in extremely long-life applications, that’s never really felt practical to me). That means most of the devices above are rechargeable.

The real problem is that you are carrying around all that water. Sure that might be more humane, but to make this sustainability work, I think you need to be just spraying them constantly, move oxygenated water over their gills and keeping them wet, but not doing anything beyond that.
Not to get in the way of his shitty beer take, but I’d also like to point out that around 80% of the US population lives in urban areas (granted most of those are suburbs, roughly 50%/30% suburban/urban) Another way to look at it is that 35% of American households are single family homes, while 43% are buildings with…
Well Michael Bennett has endorsed Bernie. Michael Bennet has not, but I see no reason to hear more from him.
