This is even more confusing when you remember that her grandfather and great grandfather were also John McCain...

The rest is a pack of old white dudes, pretty much

Well they now allow gays, and girls, and probably even gay girls, so in the eyes of Republicans, maybe they are anti-American... Plus that Baden Powell guy is sort of foreign...

Maybe things have changed from the Obama era, but I wouldn’t be shocked to learn that the answer is still “with cocaine and hookers”

No no, not peacock, he’s a little mushroomcock (if you believe the rumors)

Also, apparently it’s not enough just to stand respectfully for the anthem, now you have to sing along as well:

I’m pretty sure not any that actually make them in the US. I think there are a few companies based in the US that sell them, and a couple others that license out their names.

Have have a 980 and it’s great, much better than the 400/Discovery series ones I’ve used before. Only real knocks against it are the small bin (which iRobot has addressed with their newer models, though at a price), its loudness, especially on carpet, and the high price tag.

Get a Roomba! Maybe you have a campaign credit card you could charge it to?

My office definitely has traps. The people who planned the office and its policies and the people who run the company are not the same. As an example, sure we have a ping-pong table, but we also have a COO who makes snippy remarks about people playing ping-pong when they should be working. It’s definitely a bit toxic.

Back in the day, he was Big Daddy Drew, but I guess he has slimmed down.

I assume that’s why the planes are sitting on pads rather than directly on the pavement.

If you’ve ever seen people try to park, you wouldn’t want them anywhere near your $100M airliner.

Inherently unstable planes have been with us for a long time, it’s not dangerous new tech. Boeing’s software assist implementation is quite flawed though.

The ends of the wing on the new 777X fold:

There’s nothing in that article that says the 737 MAX’s sensors are any more susceptible to problems than other aircraft. It highlights the fact that designing a system that can crash the plane if an AoA sensor fails is a terrible idea, because they do fail, but that’s not a phenomenon that’s unique to 737 MAX. What

Haven’t read that, but if true that is even dumber. I know the pilots had reported a problem with the sensor on a Lion Air flight that wasn’t fixed, but I don’t think I’ve read any specifics as to why.

They will probably do that too. These are likely new planes coming off the production line. There’s no reason to halt production, because once the software fix is approved, they will be able to update and deliver all these aircraft in short order, so no need to make their backlog worse.
