I’ve never understood the idea that people would want EVs as a rental car.  Going to a location like a hotel or VRBO, not knowing if there’s charging stations nearby (or how to use them, if ICE is all you know)...seems like a nope.  Not a headache I want to deal with while traveling for biz...

It’s pretty funny to see headlines like this:

If he’s a sovereign, just declare war on the fucker and end it.

Autopilot and Full Self-Driving are terrible names given their capabilities and should have never been approved. No other car company uses such deceptive names for their active cruise control systems. Only smug enthusiasts and slimy lawyers will tell you those names are OK (“Autopilot is an aviation term and everyone

As a bicycle commuter, I am terrified of this 30 day free FSD trial. I never signed up to be a beta testing crash test dummy.

Because the editors are on Autopilot. Tesla’s press release doesn’t say that - it says its the fastest Model 3 ever.

As a progressive, I have plenty of friends that are conservative that are not assholes. There’s a big difference between fiscal conservatives and Trump lovin’ right wing nutjobs. It's sad to see so many Republicans losing their party to fascists.

This attitude a problem, unwillingness to listen to another viewpoint, Bush and Obama get along fine.

I’ve always been curious as I have never driving anything fancier that my Fiesta so thats not saying much. But when the car starts making bad choices while in FSD or autopilot is it like a gradual kind of mistake or has it even been aggressive like the car turns the wheel to hard or something similar?

Maybe not life in prison, but a long ban from driving.

Same experience here. I wasn’t aware that FSD had been activated on my car, and I realized it after I tried to use Autopilot (fancy cruise control). I tried the FSD for one 20-mile drive. It was like having a really drunk person drive your car, probably a drunk who is a marginal driver when sober. In just that one

FSD: Impressive if you’re overwhelmed by confirmation bias. Terrifying if you’re a normal person.

At 81, it’s hella impressive Sir Paul can still get in a C5 Corvette without injuring himself.

What does inconveniencing people that have nothing to do about it get you? Because I can tell you it will make more people not support you than support you.

This EV glut also falls into their Belts & Roads Initiative. They keep building infrastructure in foreign locations and need to have cheap transportation so that the populations see the value and continues to fall in line. China’s economy continuing to shrink means they need all that foreign income/indebtedness.

1st gear:
Whats happening here is that China has moved from mindlessly making apartments, buildings and high speed trains to mindlessly making shit-tons of EVs. There is almost zero thought process. Its a mere bandaid to the insane, sheer volume of debt and massive housing bubble that would have thrown the US and any

I see no problem here. If you’re dumb enough to risk your life for a software update, so be it. Social Darwinism for the win.

Man I should do something really stupid for attention so I can trick all the news outlets into giving me even more attention.

A TikToker

The app tells you there’s an update, and then gives you two minutes to exit the vehicle (if you need to since you can just do the update from your phone and don’t have to be in the car to initiate it....I always kick it off from my couch or bed or whatever). No, it doesn’t recognize you’re still in the car, which
