Let’s not be ridiculous here. This is Chicago. The ‘rival gang’ is not going to be a bunch of white people in khaki pants.

No, I am a functioning adult. You should try it sometime, it leads to success in life. <shrug>

The cops are not “murdering people” when the people shoot first.

the only reasonable reaction for him is to try to shoot the attackers and get the fuck away.

My respect for cops is rooted in having a number of cousins who are cops, and having interned on BOTH sides of criminal law in law school, resulting in my having far more respect for law enforcement than I do for criminals. Also 30 years ago in my 20s.

Why not say fuck the gangbangers?  This many cops following him means he was already under investigation

Are you going to include any information about Reed’s pending felony weapons charges? Or his prior arrests that involved firearms? Or perhaps question why he was driving around with a gun in his car with no concealed carry permit, and a previously revoked firearm owners identification card

Guess I’m somewhat of an anomaly. I find, the older I get, the less critical I am of old people. Well ... I’m there. Next week I’ll be 81. Yikes! My daily go-to is a ‘22 Ford Escape Hybrid. Actually my it’s my wife’s daily...but my daily is a ‘19 Ranger pickup and my mental adjustment and fun car is an ‘18 Ford Focus

My mom is almost pushing 80 and is looking at getting a grand highlander for her next vehicle.  she likes the 3rd row because it could fit all the grand kids

“I pay $0.26 / kWh for electricity, and it would cost (roughly) $10k to upgrade my house’s electrical system to be able to install a level 2 charger, including the permits necessary for increasing my 100 amp panel to 200 amps, and running about 50 feet of indoor high-voltage cable from the panel to the driveway...A

What we got:

Surprise Surprise... everyone predictably piled on when I dared to state something that doesn’t go along with the popular narrative. How very original of you guys.

Quite obviously not a Tesla-exclusive thing.

And yet there are regular every day non fanboi people who buy Teslas and have had zero issues or complaints. Where’s the headline about my 80 year old neighbor who is on his second model 3?  After the first one saved his life in a highway crash.

This blog’s obsession with Tesla borders on unhinged. If you say anything positive about the cars at all, a bunch of (paid?) zealots will tell you “Elon is never gonna f**k you you know!” as if they’re not the one’s obsessed with him. It’s hilarious.

I spent 20 minutes in the rain going over a dumb checklist for my Model Y delivery and... there was nothing wrong? Felt like a total waste of time due to FUD from articles like this one. Jalopnik basically posts Tesla articles daily for clicks.

This is really not a Tesla-Only thing. Anytime a company introduces an entirely new model there will be first-year quality control issues. Yes- that goes for Toyota too: The latest model Tundra had issues with timing chains detonating and the new Tacoma was recently featured on a Youtube video where the differential

In case anyone has a contact with the family - I’ve got a great suggestion about a musician they could hire for the funeral. He is pretty handsey, but also a decent sax player, all things considered.

“Even if the allegations in the affidavit are true, they don’t begin to justify what happened. At worst, Bryan Malinowski, a gun owner and gun enthusiast, stood accused of making private firearm sales to a person who may not have been legally entitled to purchase the guns.”
