As the saying goes - capitalism is the worst economic theory, except for all the rest of them.

Literally all new cars come with a factory warranty.

One of our favorite “elderlies” has a Boss 302 that he’s built up nicely, it’s LOUD and he loves to shred a tire or two or more. He was also a tunnel rat in Vietnam and has a fondness for THC resin. You just have to associate with the right foggies.

Some genuine entries in this, but a lot of these are just Jalops being judgmental assholes.

No because I know better. And unfortunately a lot of people like this dumb fuck do not know better. So punish the dumb fucks instead of me.

The NTSB determined the Challenger driver’s use of cocaine and PCP impaired his decision-making...”

he also had a history of speeding offenses

I would actually expand the Trumper Sticker vehicles to any car with the rear covered in bumper stickers. Special hatred goes out to people that have 13.1 or 26.2 stickers. Are you driving around hoping that when you stop, someone will randomly come up to you and start talking about marathon running?

Nice. My first new car is... welp not yet. First car I bought myself was a couple year old 91 civic std hatchback: no 4-speed, no air, no radio. I pimped it out with a radio and a leaky pop-up sunroof.  I never should have let that car go....

Well, I am 75 and about to get my first big RV on the road. I won’t be pulling a Jeep, though. A Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat will be on MY trailer. Or maybe my Jag XK8. Depends on my mood when I load up. THIS Boomer is building a 30' X 90' garage for his cars (none of which are mentioned above), selling his house, and

Interesting subhead in that I don’t think of Corvettes as being especially covered in chrome, compared to other cars of the same year. Even in the 50s when chromosaurs ruled the earth, they were relatively tasteful and subdued in this regard. They also dropped what little tailfin they ever had just as that styling fad

I still refuse to accept the Slingshot without a rear-wheel conversion kit.

Nope, born in 1964 on the cusp between the Boomers and Gen X (anybody remember Gen X? seems it’s all about Millenials these days...) and my tastes are the Porsches I can’t afford and the amazing motorcycle superbikes that have come into my garage (used, at bargain prices) that will outperform anything on four-wheels

1952 Boomer here. I (rarely) drive a 1989 Mustang GT 5-speed with 212K miles owned since new, but mostly a 2018 Stinger GT2 AWD (and it IS hard to get in and out of).

I’m not boomer but come on, no Bronco's? All us old guys are definitely their market for the new ones and we're the only ones who can afford the old ones.

What a farked up list. Is there any data to support the list. Nope. If you want to know about Boomers then you have to involve the Boomers. The list is nonsense. Have fun with it.

I’m solidly in the GenX cohort. I admit, as time goes on I am continually scanning for nice Buick Lucernes with the 3800. It’s like old-school malaise comfort, but with better reliability and FWD traction.

Somehow I knew the Miata would be on this list. My father traded in his fleet car Dodge Dynasty for a new 2001 NB Miata in Crystal Blue Metallic just before retiring at 55. The article pegged him, from MGB ownership to the lifelong R&T subscription until Peter Egan retired. I have owned the car for the past several

Hmmm... I’m smack dab in the middle of the Boomer demographic, living in a neighborhood of like-minded people. I don’t see these cars. I do believe that many of them have their RVs stored somewhere, though.

Hey guys, it’s been a while since I’ve been around these parts but with the shut down of Jezebel and the ever looming threat of Jalopnik disappearing, I wanted to recommend that everyone come join us at The Drive or Autopian. They both represent the best of what Jalopnik used to be, 10+ years ago, a far cry from it’s
