I haven’t driven an AP1 so I couldn’t compare. As for the clutch and shifter, I would agree they’re wonderful, bordering on perfect. Suspension tune is spot on too. Of course, crappy snow belt pot holes and cracks are a problem.

100% of the target market for this car knows exactly what Black Ghost refers to.

When reached for comment by from her hospital bed, the suspect, Ms. Rios-Gonzales said, “Damn, those Ford Explores really are built Ford tough.”

Yeah but there are only 162 torques. Where did the rest of them go? Did they leak out?

Don’t get me wrong. I loved driving my S2000(s). I do think their wonderfulness turns towards unpleasantness when driving in my metro area traffic where a decent percentage of people are seemingly trying to kill you by either driving on my bumper or changing lanes into you because they don’t see you from the wee tiny

Agree 100%.

Until you’ve driven a C6 or newer Corvette with a Tremec-6060, the S2000 WILL feel perfectly fine. Afterwards, not so much.

I’ve owned two AP2 S2000's over the years and loved them, EXCEPT, they are a royal pain in the ass as daily driver.

The 4Xe Trailhawk was designed exactly for the conditions you describe.

Well, not everyone who appreciates big old V-8 power in a low key package is retired or slinging fentanyl/meth etc.

Sure, mod the heck out of it if you don’t mind losing your warranty coverage.

You don’t. I think a 392 Hemi in a non-Bubba package is kinda awesome.

This all looks awesome. Hopefully they find a way to bring the Avenger over here because a sub Renegade sized BEV would surely sell like beer at a Yankees game on a hot July afternoon.

What? You failed to mention my awesome 2003 Jeep Liberty with the 3.7 that also gets 17 combined. This is a travesty.

Star for the Heisenberg reference.

I’d be all in on a Hellcat equipped 300 as the final “special edition”.

It’s not dealership franchise laws, it’s the private contractual agreements between the manufacturer and the dealerships that perpetuate the dealer distribution model.

Apples and oranges comparison. Roof strength is baked into their design. There aren't any special additional structural members that can be added or taken away like a frame rail extension.

Well, I’d agree the exposure to a single $1.7 billion judgement is not a company killer by any means.

If there actually was some gross corporate malfeasance here, I’d agree with your sarcasm.
