1st.Gear, Ford shares are also down because of a $1.7 billion product liability verdict from a Georgia jury on a 20 year old truck after some octogenarian driver got a flat tire on the highway and lost control, killing himself and his elderly wife.

Someone needs to have a basic grasp of context.

Maybe re-read my comment. There’s absolutely zero evidence to support the notion that they actually “decreased” HD truck roof strength relative to the half-ton trucks as the writer would have us believe.

For fuxsake. You might might want to just change you user name to CynicalSanta and be done with it.

Because the roofs and pillars are already essentially identical between the half-tons and the HD trucks. Changing the roof structure to have less material and decontenting would cost engineering and R&D dollars unneccesarily.

So by your logic, can we really automatically assume manufacturers of half-ton series pick-ups (that have to meet the higher roof crush standard) necessarily build the roofs on the 3/4 ton and 1 ton trucks to a lesser standard?

The top picture is from when this truck was recently in stock at Chicago Motors where they sell this kind of stuff. The brick background is identical.

Cautionary tale of why the direct sales model isn’t all that wonderful in many situations.

I’ll go with a NP for someone who’s into big and retro. Last year before the big stupid bumpers too.

It’s an oil temp gauge. Standard equipment on all SRT-10 trucks.

I had a couple of these for company cars back in my Chrysler days. Probably my all time favorite daily driver for big stupid fun.

For anyone who hasn’t had the opportunity to drive a Hellcat in either body style, you should.

Dodge has offered a manual in the Challenger Hellcat since they were introduced up through the 2021 model year.

Agreed. Again, you can avoid the mandatory B.S. add-ons by casting a wide net when shopping and find dealers that are straight shooters. They're out there.

Packing dubious accessories isn’t exactly hiding anything is it? I attended the school of get multiple competitive bids with “out the door pricing” with a cost breakdown so that B.S. isn’t an issue.

Obligatory “Show me on the doll where the mean dealership touched you”

You are correct in that Porsche engineers did an excellent job with the MLB platform and made the Macan feel kinda special for a crossover, in spite of its very non-Porsche humble VAG origins.

98% chance it was the 3.6, not the hemi, on a rental spec car.

The various versions of Charger and Challenger offer phenomenal bang for the buck, with out questtion. There’s good reason they are at the top of the J.D. Power appeal suevey. The combination of driving comfort and power is not matched by any other manufacturer.

I understand the original purpose of sun setting the EV credit. The unintended consequence was it created a market inequity that is hard to justify when some EVs are eligible and some not.
