As always, Sean McIndoe had a good take on the Sens for this year’s trade deadline & subsequent playoff run:
Yes, this. Karlsson is the main reason Sens won, because a) he’s awesome, & b) Rangers didn’t bother showing up. Blues were the only team to show up in their game 6 this round - Rangers, Pens, & Ducks blew theirs. Rangers out skated & outplayed the Sens for the majority of the series but when it counted most just…
We ARE gluttons for punishment, yes.
Agree with the first part, but NO, don’t take away my DeRozan. I mean DeRozan.
“Oops, I left the gas on...”
“But then, your type isn’t really educated on economics, so I shouldn’t be surprised at your smug ignorance, OR your portrayal of people you disagree with.”
“Fatal Sully Stampede” - good album title.
Normally I’d agree with you, but he said he’s been working hard on getting better at that part of his game, so instead of it being a fluke, he might actually (hopefully) be turning into a quality hitter. He’s certainly athletic & determined enough to do it.
Love Stroman’s reaction. These Jays are just SO much frickin’ fun to watch, even with the slow start.
“finally getting what they deserve”
Probably won’t see him lace up for Canada again. Will be surprised if he plays more than two more seasons in the NHL. Hockey without Sid will suck. I mean, hockey will be fine, but GODDAMN I love watching that guy play & it sucks that it’ll be over soon.
For a split second I thought it said “McMingledorf” and I’m sad I was wrong, but it’s still an A+ name.
Hadn’t heard about Benson before. Just read a VERY entertaining Wikipedia page.
This. And me too, not to take anything away from the Oilers, but if Gibson or Bernier had actually SHOWN UP last night, this would have been a much different game. GOD they were awful.
People were rubbing it into Leafs fans’ faces when we lost to the Ducks earlier this year. Sure, Carlyle beating his old team, K, but...it’s Carlyle. Wouldn’t want him back in a million years, & that quote is a good example why.
Before the game Sportnet was replaying Anaheim’s goal frenzy in game 5 and they were talking about how Draisaitl was indirectly responsible for a couple of those goals (directly for one, if I recall correctly). I had to wonder what a game like that would do to a young player’s psyche (even though I’m convinced…
Can’t unsee...
Does anyone else think Schwarber bears a slight resemblance to Richie Incognito? I always think he looks more like a football player than a baseball player, & I think that’s why.
I’ve seen this theory floating around Twitter. It sounds ridiculous, but hell, at this point who knows, lol.
