Exactly, it is one thing to build a car that drives well (I did test drive it 4 years ago) but then there is less legroom in the backseat than in my GTi and the trunk has a ridiculously small opening and is not very practical. The 3 series or A4 is so much better on both these points. This is why the German are so

I always preferred a long trunk vs a taller one. It just work better for me

Let see the choices, let greedy companies make decisions with the consumer health first in mind (and not their bottom line... sarcasm) or having the government stepping in to force them to make cars with better fuel economy for the health benefit of everybody. This is a REAL dilemma. I am not really sure which one to

Then they need to increase the penalties on the model of what Europe does. The penalty is so freaking high, no manufacturer want to not reach target.

I love cars, reason why I am on this website on a regular basis. But I say no to anything that will indebt me to a level I cannot enjoy freedom in life like making the right choice for your job (that might now the be the most paid), going in vacation, restaurants, going out...etc.

sincerely hoping you are right

Mach Es are gathering dust”

Are these low numbers (specially for EV and specially in the VW group) are due to availability or customers not wanted these ?

which brand ? the most I have seen is like $CAD 2,5k on BM or Merc

Good on you ! It happened to me too before covid but for my appraisal that they did not want me to take back at the initial negotiated price. I ended up getting what I initially was quoted for but it is freaking exhausting and unnecessary.

Pricing of GTI these days is nuts. I own a MK7.5 GTI bought in 2018 new for $35K+taxes, around $40K more or less (full options and $CAD). 5 years later, I can sell it, still, for $27-29K with 75,000km on the odometer. Crazy. But it is pretty much pay off and I love it so you are not getting it ;)

Cliche is a terrible thing. No one is taking a month long of vacation anymore. Maybe 2 weeks max at a time but same can be said of Canada then.

yes it is, same platform, just overpriced.

I have a friend owning an I3, I agree on the fun part and it is fairly roomy for it size. Too early on the market I guess at the time.

Someone should make a resto mod of this thing and transform it in an EV

I never advise a brand new bike for a beginner but if you have the money, it definitely looks great. A mini speed twin, I think Triumph has a winner on their hand.

We go back to the same discussion. I very much hate SUV but if they print money with them and bring the car we want to drive then sure.

This is all great, and applaud this effort to bring this to America, but can we also have an Audi a4 wagon, you know, something that “normal” people can afford. Or just a VW Golf R Sportswagon.

You missed the point, they are going to redirect the fund to increase Ford quality level... with less engineering.

Just very sad and freaking unbelievable. Only in America.
