Was visiting home from college, and my Dad asked if I could take his Altima in to the dealer for an oil change. While I was in the waiting room, the salesperson tried to tell me that the “Nissan Rogue - Star Wars Rogue One Edition” was rare, and that it would appreciate in value after I bought it...

Weird! Yeah, mine came “pre-lightened.” No power locks, power steering, or AC.

😂 Luckily, she didn’t inherit that trait. I’d try a stunt like this with them, but I might lose my place in the family... haha

100% this. With immobilizers standard now, this is almost the only way modern cars get stolen. My wife comes from a family that leaves their keys on the dash/in the cupholder/on the hood. And it drives me crazy.

I had the same philosophy with my NA. Then again, the door locks also had a bad habit of getting stuck in the lock position, so it was generally a good idea anyway.

I feel your pain. I support a team of 300 software sales reps, and they love to keep 35 tabs open at a time, and NEVER shut down the computer, or they will loose them. haha

Then they ask why their Chrome extensions aren’t working

Two years ago, I was offroading with my girlfriend’s (now wife’s) family. Going up a frozen riverbed, with a few water-crossings, and lots of snow and ice. In the mid afternoon, the ground started to melt, leading to both of us getting stuck in the snow/mud at the exact same time, down to the frame. With a combination

THIS! Yes lots of mods can be removed, but they do say a lot about the owner. Last week I was shopping for a 3 row car for my sisters. I found a used Trailblazer with low miles and a good price. Between the 22" wheels, and the fact that he texted back saying “My girlfriend lost the title, trying to get a duplicate

It could be useful, but I’m curious how hard it would be to get used to. I know how my 4Runner turns, and where my tires are. Depending on how the crabwalk is implemented, I can picture it being hard to keep track of where your wheels are going. (maybe thats what the cameras are for)

My thoughts exactly. I’ve always understood that registration pays for road maintenance and services. California thinks they can charge me for a car that sits in my barn, unused, not polluting, not using roads, not even visible to the public?

Seriously, half the time I open an article on my phone, the top half is entirely taken over by a video ad, and a banner ad takes up the bottom 8th. Leaves me 3 inches to read the article. Also, the adds load so slowly, that I can’t even close them when I want

That was my thought exactly. Keep and fix the Crossfire, and scrap or sell the rest. You aren’t going to get back any of the time or money you put into the rest of them. Just get rid of them and call it a day.

Exactly. It hurts how much overlap there is between the Ranger and F150, but in reality, both trucks have engines, interiors, differentials, transmissions, infotainment, airbags, etc. If all the same parts are there, the only real difference is the amount of steel and aluminum. And that's the cheapest part of a car.

Yes, I think you’re right. Kinda like the “all squares are rectangles, but not all rectangles are squares” idea

I think they are all Seaplanes. Flying Boats use the fuselage as the hull, while floatplanes have floats beneath the fuselage

We had a harbor freight trailer with a plywood deck. The thing lasted 13 years, and the frame was still good when we sold it!

I absolutely love my instant pot. I never remember to take things out of the freezer ahead of time. It’s so easy to throw chicken or pork in, a few slices and some broth, and come back 30 minutes later ready to eat.

Nah, I work in employee onboarding, not sales. I don’t make any money off this.

My company actually sells software to help Dealerships communicate, send photos/videos, and sign contracts completely over texts. Lately, some have done really well at adapting, but most haven’t quite felt the pain yet.

I’d rather pay $5 for the game than have it be like every other mobile game with 3 separate currencies that you have to either play hours to gain, or purchase in $1 increments.
