He should pay his share of the Bachelor’s tab, but not chip in to help cover the other guys tabs.  Also, it all depends on what was agreed to before hand.  Did they agree to split a private room, bottle service, get him a dance in the champagne room?

Not that I actually want to meet any of you guys; but I might, if THIS is what we were doing

UFC/MMA seems remarkably similar to Rugby in this regard. Kick the shit out of each other during competition, yet be amazingly awesome to each other once the competition is over.

so you’re blaming me, for something that someone who isn’t me did (fan’s booing the team). Good luck with that logic. [equivalent would be me saying, “some other guy made a shitty comment, so that reflects poorly on you”] —This is a ‘Straw Man Fallacy’, attacking an easy target that has nothing to do with the original

My point is that your are wrong, because you ACTUALLY are wrong. You’re whole argument is that I must be as biased as you are. When you’re entire point is “well I’m incapable of being fair, so my opponent must also be incapable of being fair!”; it just means you don’t understand logic/reasoning.

Meatspin

The second picture shows a space between their bodies. This newly emphasized rule is all about if the defender hits the quarterback, and then their bodies get separated, the defender can’t then fall on the QB.

There’s holding on almost every play in football. (It’s not called every time). In the NBA they travel all the time (occasionally it gets called). That doesn’t mean they are bad rules, just poorly officiated

Oh boy. I believe I speak for everyone... we all know more then he does

I only brought it up, because I was specifically asked by 2 different people in response to my comments.

Slo-mo wasn’t needed. I saw the penalty called and then the replay once; then immediately saw why they called the penalty. This isn’t that hard.

The validity of the rule is not in question at all.  The arbitrary part is how often they will enforce it.  The glamorous QB will have this protection more then the un-glamorous.  Its a very good rule, thats meant to minimize injuries from a dirty play; its just needs to be enforced equally.

picture quality is low, but if you watch the video, everyone can see that you just made up that point

you can see Jarrett’s right hand/arm still wrapped around Foles when they hit the ground. Jarrett doesn’t put his right hand on the ground to break his fall at all. After the collision is over, Jarrett puts his right hand on the ground to help him stand up.

I think the rule (in theory) is a good one, but (in practice) it’s waaayyyyy too hard to call correctly/consistently.

I’ve played football on many levels from my College team, all the way down to Middle School (+ Pop Warner)

I am an Eagles fan, and yes I can see the problems with this rule. Because its hard to know for sure, and it won’t be evenly called for every QB. “Golden Boy” QB’s will get this call many more times then the more tan-skinned QB’s.

I’ve played many tackle sports. Football for over a decade, rugby for a handful of years, and wrestling for longer then either (I know wrestling isn’t EXACTLY a tackle sport, but it kinda is).

Intent” and “tackling how he was taught” are both irrelevant. He was taught how to tackle based on what the rules used to be. He now needs to be taught how to tackle based on how the rules currently are.
