    I just don’t understand that mindset where you think your own dog’s friendliness is the only thing in the equation.

    I feel like there’s a human reaction to hearing a negative answer—like other people are trying to make the other person “feel better”. So 50% is out of trained or “civilized” politeness. The other 50% is probably full-on selfishness or stupidity.
