The first one was pretty good (except for an overly long church massacre which was frankly, disturbing). The second one was lacking quite a bit despite a stellar cast.

I hope this one lives up to the awesomeness in the trailer.

Well it’s a LOT more competitive compared to 10 years ago. Marketing teams for smaller films are usually pretty hamstrung so if they can do more with longer lead times, they’ll do it.

Disney should spin off some of it’s acquisitions as independent companies but remain as an investor. They can still make money, but allow smaller production houses to break new ground and produce fresh content.
