i do talk about mechanics and game design nuance in other articles, but you’re totally right, the slideshows are supposed to be fast and easy, so there’s not a lot of space for longer discussions of the system.

I wish there was some general discussion of the game mechanics, I suppose the slideshow format doesn’t really lend itself to that level of discussion. White Wolf taught me a long time ago that mechanics matter, no matter how much you dig the backstory.

Freeze seems like the logical choice given the tone The Batman ended on and how you can easily work his story into a continuation/reinforcement of that.

just my opinion but BL3 is the only one in the series that i actively dislike the writing (at least on the main campaign). the other games are hit and miss re: jokes but thats like everything else, subjective.

I think I prefer it with the T rating honestly. It’s not like they ever did anything interesting with the M rating anyways, it just felt like they had to make it a bit too try hard-y at times to keep up with the gore. This one feels a lot...I dunno. Fluffier? But in a good way. I’ve rolled my eyes waaaaaaay less at

It’s absolutely demented. I came away with a very positive impression of the game, and this dude thinks that it’s some kind of hit piece, even though he agrees with the description!

What the actual fuck? I ask that of every nutter who starred your comment also. What the actual fuck people?

But it’s not even good pee pee humor.

Well it makes sense that in THIS timeline, Time’s Arrow never happened. History gets altered in 2024, meaning Picard never goes back to 1893 to meet her. It... kinda works if you think about it, but not TOO hard. Because presumably whatever happens in 2024 that changes things, doesn’t happen for another 3 days...

Im actually liking season 2 more then last season (which I still think was great). Love the Punk Rocker from Voyage Home. But Im much more interested in Picard and solving the time problem plus agnes/queen mind games. The Rios subplot is kind of boring and paint my numbers. (unless he ends up shagging the doctor which

Ito Aghayere NAILED Whoopi’s mannerisms. I was super impressed with her and hope we get more time with her.

Yup. It’s looking more and more likely that the veiled Borg Queen from the first episode will turn out to be Agnes of Borg.

I was joking about this last week, but now I’m more certain that the Watcher is a Gary 7 type character. The transport scene at the end is very much like what we saw in Assignment Earth.

The lyrics are slightly updated, “35 years later, and nothing much has changed..” and “...’cause I still hate you”. Great fun scene and, even though I’m not a huge fan of Star Trek IV, I recognised the homage straight away.

It was the same actor, too.

I can hand wave it as timey wimey. These scenes are pre-split but Enterprise crew going back would be post-split so in the flux of things it might not ‘count’ yet.

Well in a linked artcile, that hasn’t happened yet, because the future of the federation DIDN’T happen, so none of that plot happened, so they never met in 1893...

What, no mention of the awesome ST:IV throwback? :-D

I’m not sure why Jack is bad casting though? Do you think that Jack can’t play a devastatingly sad and emotionally broken character who uses humor and false bravado as a shield?

I will never admit just how much his birthday party breaks my heart.
