It is definitely “Delta.” The Verge confirmed it directly from Konami:
I’m thinking it’s Delta as well. For a second I thought the quote confirmed Triangle, but it doesn’t.
Is it really “Triangle”? I don’t see the word triangle anywhere. And “Delta” makes much more sense.
Gotta be Hayter. Keifer was there because of Kojima (who I’m guessing isn’t involved with this) and even when they did get him he only recorded a fraction of the audio usually expected from Snake in a given game so I doubt they’d be willing to splurge for him to do the complete MGS3 script (plus I doubt he’d agree to…
to elaborate a bit. I think The LD uniform takes the best parts of the TNG uniform and brings it up to date without overcomplicating matters. It is simple, elegant, and looks comfortable.
As a fan of the Lower Decks uniform, I’m very happy to see it in live action.
Oh well yeah, no doubt there’s some sort of time whammy involved
There are almost certainly time-travel shenanigans involved in the crossover episode.
SNW nails the feel of the best of Star Trek, it’s optimistic with loads of allegory and they remembered to turn on the lights while filming. Plus, it’s episodic (with continuing subplots) and not a ten-hour movie broken up.
We didnt see the Pike Episodes of Discovery and went right into the SNW with no problems. They very much make it accessible.
The Cerritos Uniform looks so good in live action, this is going to be fun
Yes. It very much is what you’d expect if someone tried to remake TOS in modern day, and succeeded.
Time travel, of course. Star Trek’s got plenty of it.
Lower Decks takes place after The Next Generation, Strange New Worlds is set on the Enterprise before Kirk takes over. So there’s most likely time travel shenanigans, which I think Jonathan Frakes (directing this episode) has confirmed.
Why do trailers have trailers now? What’s with the short stinger before trailers showing what’s going to be in the trailer?
Paul Wesley is older than Shatner was in TOS, and is playing a version of Kirk who’s supposed to be 5-7 years younger. It’s a bit weird.
Ignoring the absolute slander on Pike’s Peak, I think any awkwardness from the Lower Decks crossover episode is probably because of how difficult comedic timing can be - this is a primarily dramatic trailer stitching together clips for a primarily dramatic show, the little snippits of comedy aren’t going to work as…
I can’t wait for the new season.
There was a couple of interesting ideas there, but honestly S2 felt like I was watching a bunch of scenes in isolation that were roughly edited together to make it work as a story
