Though just as cutting the Marauders' identities from Azkaban bothered you, two omissions from Hallows Pt 1 irked me:

But I thought that the identities of the Marauders were made obvious by the fact that Remus knew how to properly close the map ("Mischief managed") when he gave it back to Harry. I saw the first four films prior to reading any of the books, and based on that scene and other information imparted by Remus and Sirius

And there's an absurd amount of deleted scenes for that movie, too.

What happened, did death get into a fight with a hot dog vendor?

"Either Chilton was sabotaging some potential hits, or he was after something that he knew he couldn’t get with a conventional approach to arranging and recording rock ’n’ roll."

My Dad used to call it "rap crap" and predicted it would last about as long as disco (this was around 1987 or 88).

Having a personal preference for one over the other is fine, but "better than Paul's Boutique"? Musically, Paul's Boutique is the pinnacle of pre-sample clearance (i.e. Golden Age) rap music (along with 3 Feet High, Nation of Millions and Fear of a Black Planet), and the rhymes are so densely packed with pop culture

Surely "Party For Your Right To Fight" (or "Fight The Power", for that matter) would be more appropriate?

Welcome back, Music Roundtable!

The Velvet Underground playing shows without Nico is the closest (if still imperfect) analogy I can think of - like Vedder in this case, she didn't write any of the songs and only sang on a proportionately small number of tracks, but to the casual fan the songs she did sing happen to be some of their best known.

And if Mick Jagger had only sung co-lead vocals on one song and back-up vocals on three others. And didn't actually write any of the songs.

I spotted that anachronism, too ("Something Against You" came out in 1988, though that part of the episode was clearly supposed to be set in 1987). Also the Scream poster in what was purportedly 1996 (that movie came out in 1997).

This article gave me the impression it was supposed to be a horror movie…

Here comes Gwyneth's head in a box:

Let The Right One In is a beautifully shot, well-written coming-of-age story where one of the main characters happens to be a vampire. A great film, but not even the slightest bit scary.

The limited-edition version of the soundtrack (with the "Xmas" album art) contained an extra track by Morphine and Apollo 440 which is arguably a bit less dated than most of the other songs on the album:

Matthew Sweet did the same thing with the original CD release of Girlfriend, as well as including the sound of a record being flipped over halfway through the album proper.

Yes, I was happy to see that!
