And the Marley track they chose is on fucking Legend. Sure it's superior to the studio version, but Legend has sold over 25 million copies internationally and is probably playing in several dorm rooms and wine bars as I type this, whereas most people probably haven't even heard the studio version before.

Good choice. Actually, Live At Leeds is so good you could probably make a strong argument for any other track off that album, too.

The entire live album The Living End by Hüsker Dü. The versions on that album are so much more powerful and louder than their studio counterparts (especially the New Day Rising tracks) that in probably every case I prefer those versions.

Gotta space nuke somethin'

*ahem*

Don't worry about your laundry

My super awesome neighbour has The Jackbox Party Pack for his PS4, which is loads of fun with a few friends. Last night he had a small party and we played several rounds of Drawful, along with consuming many alcoholic beverages and watching the host and several guests making a competition of trying to shoot a beer can

In lieu of any recent Portishead:

Upvoted for Bardo Pond.

You may already be aware of this, but after Coltrane shuffled off this mortal coil Pharoah Sanders did a pretty good job picking up where he left off. Sanders is hugely underrated in my humble opinion; listening to this right now:

The right music can get you high even when you're completely straight. Krautrock (specifically Can and NEU!), Fela Kuti, Miles Davis (particularly his "electric" period - basically from In A Silent Way through to Agharta), and a variety of dub reggae, post-punk and post-rock albums are some of the things that have

If someone decides they're fine with being straight-edge I can respect their decision, as long as they're not preachy or self-righteous about it (and unfortunately too many of them are). That said, as a former straight-edger I think going through one's entire life without even once having some sort of mind-altering

Or for something a bit more intense, Massive Attack's Mezzanine or Tricky's Pre-Millennium Tension. Love both of them in an enhanced state of mind, but if you're really high they can almost be too much to take.

That sounds awesome. I watched The Littlest Hobo all the time as the kid, and I can imagine that combination of nostalgia and the ability to get sucked right into the drama of whatever you happen to be watching while on shrooms would go down a real treat.

But stealing meat's not so fun on the weed, eh there Bubbles?

I gained a greater appreciation for "Take On Me" by A-ha after hearing it and watching the accompanying music video while on LSD. To this day when I hear it I'd swear it triggers flashbacks, if I didn't know better.

I listen to music with headphones while the TV is on all the time, preferably while high. Hard to choose one specific music/visual/THC combo, but I find cartoons work well, especially weird or vintage stuff.

THC + any music I love = a very happy place

Lots of movies go well with THC, but I always enjoyed the ritual of matching the Dude's onscreen intake of weed and White Russians while watching The Big Lebowski.

Yes! And it was the Stonecutters that had him killed, as Danson was clearly taking away too much of Steve Guttenberg's screen time.
