I’m in the same boat. I love and appreciate that he’s still putting out new content, and would never complain about a big SV update, but mods have had a long time to add boatloads of new stuff over the years (a lot of it super high quality) that I’m a little more interested in seeing his next IP.

Still, “more Stardew

Your ideas are far more realized than mine. I commend the time spent on those.

I first read the headline to mean “It is a myth that Gods of Asgard looks like Hades”, then I scrolled down and was like, “Uh...”

I like this - It’s a tasteful and reasonable way of making the horde encounters more exciting across the board.

As someone who adores the Alto games and has a 1-month old, this is really cool news.

Definitely two of the best games I played last decade. I’d agree with the other comments that Odyssey can be run through fairly quickly if you don’t focus on 100%’ing it. Maybe 10 to 14 hours or so.

I mean, who wouldn’t want to kiss the face in that top photo? A face that seems to be saying, “I just tried a little too hard to poop and now it hurts.”

Agreed. During the teardown video, my first thought when he started to take apart the stand was “Man, gonna lose that screw in a day”, but then he put it in its little storage area and I thought “Oh, neat.

My 1060 cuts through Hades just fine, so I’m good for a bit. I tried to snag a 3080 on launch, but found the experience so incredibly off-putting that I’ve basically written off the hunt for one until I no longer need to use Now In Stock alerts. I’ll just clear out my indie backlog for the next few months.

I find that this varies pretty notably by game genre. And while there are exceptions, it also boils down to the controller input.

Having never really got into Overwatch, all I see here are Zone of the Enders wings, which is fine by me.

These games are super chill. I can’t say enough good things about the music / sound design in them, either. Before the soundtracks were up on Spotify, I used to crash my character in Zen mode and just listen to the game world play out.

I was actually coming down here to say that it reminded me of the parent’s house from Kiki’s Delivery Service. Apparently it looks very Ghibli.

Totally agree with just about all of this. I love my XM3's, and wore them for hours on end at the office, when working at the office was still a thing. I used to use the XM2's, but found those to be a little too heavy for long-term use. The 3's fixed that issue for me.

Looks like the Microsoft Store couldn’t run Crysis.

Sound is a tricky one to analyze in this regard because it’s always been important, it’s just not often noticed. As the previous responder pointed out, it’s often an afterthought in lots of games and tends to be slapped together and under valued in the production process.

Eh, it’s all good. I’ve found that high frame rate gaming only has real benefit in specific genres; 144hz is great in FPS titles, nice to have in 3rd person, sports, and isometric games, honestly tough to notice in any kind of strategy game.
