I was thinking the same thing. Is that definitely a black version of it, though? Or just a really dimly lit white version? In any case, looks pretty sharp in that photo.

I did a bit of digging on this one back when I tried another play through a few years ago. I didn’t find much, but I think it has to do with how the original engine handled uncapped, high frame rates, or something along those lines. At the time, I was running it at 144 fps / 144 hz, but then I locked it to 60 and the

This doesn’t look like the intro to Skyrim that I remember. Why are the horses not glitched out and flying around the screen?

Honestly, you pretty couldn’t tell who Tom Hardy was because he’s wearing something on his face in most of the movies he’s in.

At the moment, CE and Reach don’t have Xbox / PC crossplay, so unfortunately this one probably won’t, either. You can “crossplay” between Steam and non-Steam versions, but that’s about the extent of it for the time being. Here’s to hoping that changes eventually!

Three years later and Horizon Zero Dawn is still one of the best looking games I’ve played.

Finished reading and sort of instinctively scrolled down to leave a comment, but I’m not sure why. I can’t think of much to say.

Nice! FF7 Remake is on my short list; going to have to try that soon.

Oh definitely. My wife and I have gone back to the comfort food of re-watching the Harry Potter movies and playing through the Uncharted games. Simple, un-complicated pleasures to help navigate a complicated and uncertain time.

They added the PS5 controller to Overwatch? Nice.

Totally, and your comparison is well taken. I’m just happy to see a return to balance a bit between the two components. If the goal is higher res, GPU beats out CPU in terms of importance, for sure, and the Series X has a nice and beefy GPU. So you’re definitely not wrong.

This is all pretty promising. Historically, the increased GPU power tends to be the flashy number that gets tossed around, but I’m really glad to see a focus on storage speed and CPU improvements here. Those will be the upgrades that make this feel like a true next gen console, IMO.

Hey, thanks! This is super helpful. Really appreciate the feedback.

What I wanna know is, can Steve Blum’s character light a cigarette with a flame thrower while being chased by a lobster monster in this like he can in Bebop?

Anyone have any input on or experience with the double Switch life? I tend to be about a 50 / 50 split of docked and handheld play. Love my OG Switch, but the portability of this one is really tempting, and I dig some of the colors.

It’s been stable for a good while now, and this update might improve it even more, but back when it first launched on Switch it definitely had some performance issues. Lots of frame rate drops that the devs promised to fix, and then did, within the first month or so of release.

Yup, also a great one!

There’s so much in his body of work that I’ve never been exposed to, but his Ghibli scores are legendary and are characters in and of themselves. The score to Princess Mononoke basically narrated a full year of my younger life.

As someone who doesn’t play many difficult games, I’d have to give the nod to the Path of Pain from Hollow Knight. Though that one part in Ori where you have to escape the flooding tree certainly got me pretty upset for an evening.

I can’t wait to watch Yamcha beat up UI Goku.
