What shocks me is his inability to see how bad his tweets are. He doesn’t seem to grasp the obvious, obvious double standard of a black man being unable to effectively call out homophobia, especially his own.

Kevin Hart has been an embarrassment for a while now and deserves what he’s going through/backlash. What is now bothering me is why he didn’t face a similar backlash when he was insulting & demeaning black women, especially his slights against dark skin black women? How do we explain that?

You are incorrect. There is extensive precedent, set first by Bruce Springsteen. And since these rallies do contribute to raising campaign funds, that profiteering bit is arguable. But artists do have a right to fight against their music being used for political purposes not aligned with their own.

Her status has nothing to do with the fact that she owns her music, and he’s not allowed to use it without permission or payment. How’s that for who’s allowed?

I don’t get why they keep playing music from people who disagree with everything they’re about. There are plenty of country artists whose music they can use. Or they can even hire Ted Nugent if he’s not still shitting on himself and diddling underage girls.
