The judge is the one who overruled the jury and the minimum sentencing guidelines. The outcry is warranted. He should not be hearing any cases and should be under investigation for misconduct at this point.

It’s a shame, you know? This judge had such a bright judiciary career in front of him, it is just a shame that this one little verdict will mess up his entire future.

I don't think we've jailed rape victims for reporting their rapes, but we have bullied them into saying the rape might have been a dream and then convicted and fined them for filing a false report. Among other things.
