Ooo, that awkward moment where you have to charge over your cognitive dissonance of assigning cultural values to a skin color after seeing the person upholding them is black and realizing cultural views don’t have a color. Yeah, really awkward. Good to see you brushed it aside and remained steady on in your racism

Alternate alternate headline: Neil Gorsuch does exactly what he said he would do.

Apparently, the court has ruled the law says what the law says. If you disagree with what the law says the solution seems to be to pass new laws.

Gizmodo is really not where you’re going to find a stable answer to any question

The headline is disingenuous and designed to skew thought. He didn’t “blame” doors. He offered one suggestion. There is no single answer that will fix the issue. It will take a lot small ideas.

Fifty years ago in Canada we had guns all over the place “often loaded and not locked up”. Many felt that if the safety was on, the gun was safely stored. And we did not have mass shootings. Of course this was before we allowed the left wing nutjobs to commandeer our schools and universities. Common sense is no longer

We as in the people on the site (myself included) who have cast aspersions on shooters who killed themselves.

None of us were were any of the mass shooters who killed themselves afterwards either but we still cast aspersions on them. She murdered her own child and killed herself. My feelings won’t hurt or help her. But if there is a hell I hope she burns in it.

“Jumps .... With Her 7-Year-Old Son,” per your headline. “...taking her 7-year-old son with her” and “first dropped her son,” per your text.

I mean, sure he was a right wing nutjob, but can we say that was the motive? He shot up a country concert, isn’t that like a vegan going to a greenhouse and going murderhobo?

From the one pic I saw of the jacket, it also had what I think were a soviet star and Israeli flag. I don’t think he exactly had a coherent ideology.

agreed. and someone should punch the reporter in the face (figuratively). How did she feel cowering behind stage 2 doors down from an ongoing shooting? How the F do you think she felt, you moron.

Not to downplay the horror of this at all, but the chances that an individual student will be a victim of a school shooting are still really really tiny. Of course, there could still be a psychological impact analogous to getting on a plane after 9-11.

I think I’m going to make some bingo boards for media, White House and commenter reactions to these things.

Automation means we need less workers. Technology will solve the problem, not less educated, culturally non-acclimated foreign workers.

Isn’t this a good thing? We have enough humans on the planet already.

Resources aren’t infinite.

I’m sure that progressives’ “Fuck the Police” platform will bring in the voters.

The entire length of the former Kai Tak airport in Kowloon is mostly undeveloped, a much larger area and is located in a much more easily accessible area of Hong Kong than The Hong Kong Country Club. Seems these activists are barking up the flag pole.

At first I assumed it to be true, but on reflection about the details, it seemed unlikely. Not, however impossible. I give the story a somewhat arbitrary 5% chance of holding up.
