They were looking for a soul. Guess they couldn't find one.

It’s funny — I think for a segment of the buying population that will absolutely be true. Then again, I live in a big city and I have two cars (down from three) and it’s kind of a pain. If I had one car (i.e. the AMG wagon) that could satisfy my needs for speed and utility I could even see myself having just one!…
Agreed!
They’re heavier, but the power differential is serious. I like Miatas too, but I see a place for the Z3 if you want something with a little more punch.
It’s funny, I just don’t love it as much as the others. I’ve owned an E30 and am looking at an S2000 to be my first Japanese car. To me it’s older than the Toyobaru, is still fun and tossable, and makes honest to god horsepower. I'm not hating on the twins, but for me I just didn't love it as much as all the other…
If I had $150k, I’d buy one for the same reason I bought my BMW wagon as a guy without kids: I like road bikes and sailing and wagons help with those things. I also like to go fast and hate SUVs of all shapes and sizes that aren't Land Rover defenders.
If you can afford to buy this you don't give a shit about mileage.
Yes!!! This looks awesome. V90 polestar may still win my heart, but goddamn this will be epic. A brabus wagon walked my fast-ish BMW and would have left my slow BMW for dead. This will be amazingly epic.
See my post above. 100% agree. There’s always a “corvette guy” around to annoyingly remind you how fast/cheap/godlike his car is.
The 4-cyl Z3 is underpowered but the bigger sixes have lots of power and refinement!
Yes to all the first three — ESPECIALLY the S2000. Toyobaru is almost as bad as the Miata cult. They're just not that good especially compared to the other options you suggested.
I enjoyed that if only because of the culture points (I like miatas). Miata owners are almost as bad as corvette owners (almost). I get that it’s cheap and fast. I don’t need to be told for the ten millionth time.
Well since “curb” is German for Ferrari...
It wasn't the parallel parking, but leaving the parallel parking that got them in trouble!
If by “ferraris” you mean pedestrians then yes.
I had idiots try and fail to smash the windshield on my M235i. It cracked but they didn't get in. Strong stuff.
I was there. Hearing her husband say, on the phone to the insurance company, “yeah my wife hit a Ferrari" was one of the most gut-wrenching moments of empathy I've ever experienced. I wanted to give the guy a hug.
The 124 Abarth is a joke. It exists for ridiculous reasons and there is little/no reason to choose it over a Miata.
I want it to be called the Supra. But it won’t be the same since Toyota had to outsource it since they clearly forgot how to make sports cars since the time of the last Supra.
Hm. Sounds like I should just get an M3!
