I agree this guy is an ass...but posting “ban all the car meets” on an enthusiast website is a little much. Most of us just want to hang out and talk cars!

I’ve had new and used BMWs — even a 200k mile + car. Yes, shit goes wrong. Yes it’s expensive when it does. BUT if you don’t buy bargain basement shit and follow the damn maintenance schedule it’s fine. Full stop. These cars just don’t tolerate shitty cheap parts or missed services. They also don’t tolerate shitty…
That “wagon” looks like an M135i which could more than easily hang with most in that group on those kinds of roads. I’d still love to be even in that dricer’s seat!
Fair! I think AWD is a good option but shouldn't be a requirement.
Gorgeous! 540iT?
I’ve spent my life in the Northeast but in an urban area. Snow’s not that bad here. I like the AWD option but not the requirement!
Yes. And they are heavy. Considering how many rims I’ve cracked in DC though on my other BMW wearing lighter shoes I went with something sort of sensible on the daily!

Ugh. I don’t want all wheel drive. Why does everyone think that because I want to carry my road bike I also need to go through snow and ice or am afraid of snow tires?? And for that price you could have the not-that-much less practical S4. I’ll stick with my old wagon since no one seems to be able to replace it.
So true. F10 is crap/huge. Definitely what an M7 should be. M2/M235i is the real M3 successor and the M3/4 is a real M5.
That works too!
This is the best post I’ve read in ages. Agree 100%. My dad also drove a ‘95 Civic EX coupe with the 5 speed from new and it was a fantastic car. Responsive, peppy, good-looking and well-finished. As much as he loves his S60 Polestar now, we all miss that car. Honda is still way off the mark. As a result my first car…
Wondering how many 29 year olds make only $39k...
Sounds blah to drive and isn’t even all that cheap at $26k-ish. Why not just get a GTI/Focus ST at that price? They're both faster, more practical, and more engaging.
Sold my GTI for an M235i.
Meh. Almost voted NP for rarity but then I remembered the E30.
Get the E46 instead.
Maybe it was. I’m sure I didn’t hear the best one.
That’s fair. I guess I’d never trade quality for size so it’s hard to understand for me. Honestly I also wasn’t super impressed with the stereo in the 300 although I’ll give you that it has a nice trunk.
Design opinions are subjective but the quality level is way above the Chrysler.
