I know mine (M235i) isn't a real "M" car but it suffers from the same phenomenon. Was thinking of de-badging since the M badge on the trunk and flanks is a complete douche magnet. Never had that in any other Bimmer I've driven.

Good point. I have an M235i for this reason. It's plenty fast (0-60 in 4.3 seconds) and is a hell of a lot of fun to drive.
I bought my F22 because I wanted a showroom-new E46 M3 and that was the closest thing.
Gorgeous! Great color combo and love the M-Parallel wheels.
...until it's time to turn/stop.
Yes you don't need a factory warranty match with this but there's a reason Dinan can offer it without losing their shirts: their stuff is pretty bulletproof. You get what you pay for.
I drove a chipped E39 540i and it inspired crazy lust. Damn thing was classy as hell but pulled like a locomotive.
So...you don't have time to work on your car or enough money to pay someone else to. That doesn't mean you're not a car guy but it does mean you may have picked the wrong car. I work crazy hours and came out of a competitive school. I live in the city and don't have my own garage. That said: I can afford to have…
That said — it's not just about how easy it is to maintain something. You're missing out on the act of driving the car which is the main reason most of us enjoy this hobby.
Seriously?! BMW POS?
Best response yet.
You're seriously missing the point. No one would ever consider an Avalon and a 540i comparable even if they have the same "bells and whistles." One is an enthusiast car and one is an appliance. You also may consider that in each of your "neighbor" examples they were used BMWs which you compare to your own stable of…
I wouldn't want to be in ANY poorly maintained plane. ;)
Since Paul mentioned Embraer already I have to point out Russia's long history of making reliable and simple planes — both military and civilian — that have been in use all over the world in some incredibly challenging environments for years. The Chinese? Not so much...
I love your taste in cars, sir.
So perfectly described.
Because BMW doesn't have ENOUGH pointless new models?
I love this and would definitely rock it.
I've always always loved these. Stunning and purposeful.
I agree these are very nice. They weren't out when I was shopping at that GTI autobahn price point though so it wasn't an option. When I finally switched to BMW the power differential and straight-six soundtrack were just too much for Acura to overcome.
