I love the Oris analogy. Nice work.

Quite poetic. I still remember the first Merlin I heard. It's a very evocative sound. The idea of whole flights of these, as you pointed out, is pretty unbelievable. Swift death fr the skies and whatnot.

Agreed it's not a comparable price, but neither are the S3 or 235i. Ultimately I drive a GTI now not because I can't afford something more expensive, but because it makes me really happy. Honestly it's a fun car with a sort of unreal price considering what level of fit/finish you get. The last Golf R left me cold

    I could get a decent E36 for that price. If I got really lucky, a post-2000 E46.

I need that SL if the shark nose profile stays. Just a "must" and I'm not even a Benz guy. Shit that's hot!

These are the only supercars I really love anymore. There's something timeless and almost anachronistic in the shapes and design values. Astons still have available manuals. Astons sound wonderful just to sound wonderful, and god help me they still look like cars — real cars. They're a subtle middle finger to the

As I mentioned I think the Porsche is the best, but besides that I'm also partial to the DSG from VW. They made great strides between the early ones and later models. That said, it can still be a little clunky at slow speeds. If Acura has fixed that while maintaining quick shifts then thats something I could get

You can easily negotiate that down. It's honestly a margin of error in the car sales world.

Key word is "was" and "good." First gen was competitive and fun. Nothing else after really kept pace or made a case for itself against the competition. They're not bad, per se, but they're towards the back of the pack. It's also just not about the 320i — the A4 and the ATS both exist with 2.0 turbo 4s which

I like all of those Acuras. You have good taste. That said, I agree that they didn't keep pace. Wonder what those models, if evolved over time like a 3 series, would be like today.

This may all be true, but then you have to look at the 2G TSX which in addition to being generally less fun than its predecessor was also a chore to wake up to.

The first-gen is a wonderful car and the last Acura with a soul. I loved driving them and almost bought one, but went with the first of my GTIs instead. Every time I see one though I still think how handsome and fun it was.

Acura is basically last to the dual clutch game. And PDK is the best on the market — hands down.

Someone turned the "redneck" up to 11 on this one.

Attention real estate agents everywhere. Your car had arrived!

    Couldn't have been said better.

I'm another huge fan of that combo. Wish it were easier to find on lots though!

Looks like a Z4 with that droopy nose.

This was at Katie's cars and coffee outside of DC this weekend. Unreal car. I was totally smitten. It was parked next to an MP4-12C and stole the show. Amazing.

What's funny is that you think this is about gay people. In fact, it's about equal protection under the law — a tenet at the core of democracy and the U.S. Constitution.
