I don’t know man... it could be that people who like to drive can also have the same car for daily driving?

When does Subaru make it less tragic outside ?

If you do want a non sarcastic answer, inflation, R&D costs, new suppliers for the different parts. They may be small individual costs but add up for the pricing.

Compare the interior to the GTI/Golf R and you’ll feel like you’re still in a penalty box. There is no excuse for the interior of a $40k car to look that miserable.

I’m pretty sure it doesn’t work that way with electric motors... There’s no analogue to “No replacement for displacement” in electric. You’re not always looking at more fuel/more boost/more cylinders to attain more power. You run a 1000 hp motor at the 60-100 hp required for sustained highway speeds and you’re just

Yeah EVs don’t really necessarily work like that. There is a lot of waste in the orchestration and perpetuation of motion in ICEs that don’t really apply to EVs; you aren’t spending a constant stream of fuel, for example, to keep the motor disengaged from the drivetrain and low-end revving when at a stop. There are

Because adding HP in electric cars is relatively easy (compared to ICE) and doesn’t really compromise efficiency. So if you can have 1000 HP and still get 110 MPGe, why not?

Thats not really how evs work though. Having a larger battery for range also allows more hp. You can just choose to press the pedal lighter and use 400hp and get more range than the person using 1000hp and getting shorter range. So there is no reason to limit the hp since it effectivly would help nothing.

That’s not how it works.

This.

“I feel like I would be happier with double the mileage range and like, only 400 HP”

It’s all how you drive, yes they might make 1000 hp, but you can use your throttle to use 200, 700, or -100 hp while braking. Taking it easy and not dumping on the accelerator will give you much better range. Add in regenerative braking and you can hypermile an electric car quite well.

You don’t gain range by cutting the motors’ capability. Whether you have 1000hp or 400hp electric motors, you’re only using 30hp to cruise at highway speeds, and that uses up charge at the same rate regardless of the motor size.

I disagree. I love the Huayra. Once its form grows on you it’s amazing. Certain angles make it look absolutely killer, and those haunches are awesome. To me it’s like a flowier, more animalistic Zonda with those awesome hips and tapered sides

the rest of the world has tariffs on those items, and our exports

Don’t you know he is simultaneously a profoundly retarded buffoon AND an evil puppet master who can manipulate millions to do his will on a whim?

Note to self: have ebay challenge alert manifest itself a lot more notably, like maybe a mariachi band bursting into the house or a life-size hologram of a mushroom cloud, something...

I don’t think we will ever see the day again of a decent condition manual NSX for $24k. I bought the last one and never plan to sell it.

American muscle cars from the 60s will be the first to go. We are already seeing Late C2s, early C3s prices coming back around, late 60s Shelby Mustangs soften up and the bottom will fall way out of the Mopar market as the trend chasers will have moved on. You really want a ‘70 Hemi Cuda? Wait 5 years, your bank

And probably will keep doin so
