No we just don’t get angry about something that ultimately does not matter. Come on man. It’s more fun when you don’t care.

No, it’s literally not. You have this exactly backwards.

...I don’t think you understand how auto safety works. Or numbers. Deaths are going down. Despite the fact that miles driven, cars being driven, people driving, etc are all going up each year.

That’s really not true, let’s not be ridiculous. Yes, the platform is shared. But there are significant changes from a Phaeton. The W12 is certainly not just plus 2 turbos and that’s it, for one. It’s a whole different engine.

Oh shut up

You’re massively overstating the tranny issue, by at least an order of magnitude. Some of them have had problems, most have not. To say it’s “not a car you’d want to own” is simply insane. It is a car I want to own, and hopefully someday do.

You’re reading way too much into this article.

Only in the US...in other countries the S Class comes with much smaller engines. At some point soon though the base engine in the US will likely be this one.

Oh do fuck off

You’ll notice that most cars don’t have wheel openings that are exactly the same shape as the wheel...turning and suspension movement is a thing...

Jesus christ, this little project maybe cost them a few hundred thousand? At most? You really think this impacted their budget at all? What are you even complaining about.

Probably racing regs. Carbon wheels are stronger than aluminum wheels.

They’re definitely not

Came here to say this. Did that last night in fact.

N54s have been pretty reliable after the initial troubles (which were all covered under warranty)

Not sure at all how it looks like it’s made of plastic.

Man it’s so easy to spot jealous people on this website. Anything they can’t have is considered, to them, terrible.

Then get the fuck out of here. No one makes you read it. The rest of us are interested. Holy shit, guy, how much of an asshole could you be?

Another idiotic rant from someone who has never even sat in one.

Well, yeah, if your only experience with an “automatic” is a 10 year old Japanese economy car. Go drive a performance car with an automated manual and then tell me it’s the worst thing ever.
