Why does it need to be not covered up. People paying this money for a car do not want to hear injector rattle and other loud sounds from under the hood while trying to use it every day. Also, these plastic covers all pop off in about 2 minutes.

I’m sure the engineers that spend their lives designing and perfecting it are much more sure about it than you are, to be honest.

What the fuck are you talking about...

I vastly prefer the AMG look to the feeble-looking “luxury” look.

That was the fastest car Saab made at the time. That’s the difference.

MB under-rates their engines as much as BMW does. Also this will likely be the least powerful engine we get here. Compares with the 528i and ATS 2.0t, along with whatever the slowest A6 is these days.

That’s pretty subjective

There are 2.3 people in the entire world who want this and would buy it with a manual. Stop. Please stop.

“stupider”

It’s the better car in many, many ways. The WRX interior is garbage.

Not sure how anyone could possibly think this would be a RWD car...

Lol, my god. No. No no no.

Having throttle response is nothing if there’s no power to respond with...what you’re basically saying is that your emotions and feelings about the power the engine makes are more important than what power it actually makes.

“fancy” - it’s a torque converter auto...

It’s fine, this is Jalopnik. You have to complain about Turbo Lag, even if it’s not a real thing anymore.

I have driven more J-series-powered Honda vehicles than most people. They do not have power down low. Now, they’re certainly not too slow, but to say that a car that makes 20 more hp (at likely a much lower RPM) and much, much more torque over an extremely wide plateau is somehow not going to have better throttle

...there’s not much to hack into, its simply information being transmitted. “Oh my god, some hacker said there was a traffic jam!” - something like that?

Something I aspire to be

The insults in the comments are really top-notch today...really original stuff.

I don’t think they think that, I think they want a fast, comfortable, reliable car that can fit multiple people in it and still handle itself well occasionally when the situation calls for it.
