I know, like 90% of the “mysteries” were explained at some point during the course of the show, but people need things to be explicitly detailed, because people are morons.

Oh, for fuck’s sake, with the goddamn polar bear already. Why is that always the default question when someone brings up all the things they missed on the show and/or didn’t bother looking up? I know this stuff isn’t obvious, but come on. It’s all been readily available online for nearly a decade.

I liked the episode. Maybe other people had somewhere else to be after 30 minutes, but I didn’t and just sat back and enjoyed the storytelling. I watched with my college age daughters and everyone seemed satisfied. It is a fairly universal story about what are you prepared to give up for success and fame. As for your

I think the episode was disorienting for the most part, then pulled it together for the ending.

One thing I liked about the episode is that the comedian gets over the inital shock of his power pretty fast (even after he erases his nephew). From there it’s funny to see him test out his ability (especially trying and failing to throw out Trump for erasure) amd then try to find horrible people to feed the audience

I’m not a comedian, but I also preferred The Comedian to the 30,000 Feet episode. Mostly because it wasn’t a riff on something I’ve seen before. Also because it does do some slightly unexpected things here and there. I liked the way it inspected the selfishness in stand-up comedy- and also the sacrifice. It was

I googled Evan Fowler and the bit on Kurt Russell killing Walt Disney was funny. Gold stage presence.

I’m with you but I’m not a comic. I have a few friends who are so maybe that affected my take? I don’t disagree with the reviewer that the episode dragged a bit but I found the overall story to be quite disturbing.

...You doing okay, buddy?

I also appreciated that part at the end where Samir’s in the mural of the audience at the end. It made me wonder if that’s what Wheeler’s thing is, making other comics (or entertainers; we don’t know how long he’s been at this) do what they do only to eventually speak themselves out of existence (or that mural, if all

I’m not a stand-up comic but I enjoyed it too. Had a very eerie feel to the whole thing that carried it through its more dull moments. It was a solid B-/B for me.

Jesus fucking Christ.

Enough of the moralizing, Liz! Tell me where you buried the gold!

He also directed some of the better blaxploitation films, like Black Caesar. It isn’t mentioned here, but Cohen created the 1960's western series Branded, known for it’s iconic opening sequence where the main character is drummed out of the cavalry.

Because I feel like they have a similar feel I’ll add it here. The choices in swearing in Doom Generation is excellent.

This scene, by itself, is funnier than most whole comedies.

I don’t know if that’s true - At least on here (pre daughter killing) there were plenty of people who were citing Stannis as a favourite, of not at least one of the show’s most interesting and watchable characters.
