That’s not what happened here, this isn’t a third party exclusivity deal. MS spent 7.5 billion to make this acquisition and they’re leaving money on the table by keeping it of a platform with an additional 40 million or whatever install base.

They gave Bethesda a break with only having to bug fix 1-2 SKUs and they still couldn’t optimize the engine.

I’m fine with the same engine and gameplay loop, but they made Starfield harder to play, navigate, and understand compared to their previous games. I was fine playing another Bethesda game, in space, that’s what I wanted and expected, but trying to remember where every shop is, where the trader posts are, and where

Yeah it’s a bit of a half truth. It’s now a genuinely good game with a bizarrely underrated story and characters, but on launch, it was a buggy, glitchy mess even on PC, it’s just you could play through it if you wanted to.

the game was always good, if you played on hardware that could run it well

I think the real turnoff is how segmented the world is (likely due to their engine’s limitations). It probably didn’t seem like an issue 8 years ago, but more than a few space games have done a good job of conveying the feeling of the vastness of space travel since then. Hell, even Ubisoft’s Starlink: Battle for

All for a cool, cheap, $40B or whatever the absurd investment number is at this point.

im honored to be your first real life climax

Yeach I'm with the moderator on this one. Turning the guy in was one thing, the self satisfied gloating is what makes it off-putting.

And I’m just here to make friends. :)

I’m just considered appalled in general

What’s extra pathetic is that he obviously did this to boost his own ego, but hides behind excuses like “it hurts the developer.” The game comes out on Friday. A leak a week before a game comes out is supposed to harm Bethesda how exactly?

Well I’m shocked you considered that reply worthy.

“I am now a pariah of that subreddit,” Adkins wrote in his initial email. “I get it, hype and excitement are at an all-time high. I’m just as excited as the next person, but I draw the line at theft. I was raised to believe that crime doesn’t pay. I had hoped our society, and so-called Bethesda fans could be held to

What kind of fucking loser narcs on a gaming leaker? He should be the one put in jail. Ratting out a black man to the cops is soliciting homicide. Reading this made my blood boil.

Disgusting.

Bots would be a possibility but sadly the actual answer is that revenue is what counts, and because Valve takes a percentage on each sale/re-sale of an item in CS:GO, and people keep buying, selling and re-selling items, CS:GO makes them insane amounts of money.

I pray that the game ends up being everything (or at least something) the fans wanted, but it’s also Bethesda, so I’m not holding my breath that it’ll be successful for any reason beyond that it’s a Bethesda game.

Is this really newsworth? BG3 is a single-player game that’s been out for almost a month. Of course a biggest AAA game of the year is going to push it out as its release draws near.

‘”Unfortunately I think in the case of Rockstar that door is going to be the successor to GTA online and some pretty shady microtransactions.”’
