“I’m not really sure who the 2019 Jaguar F-Pace SVR is for.” I have to agree. I just cars/motorcycles in general — I have never raced, nor do I fancy myself an expert. But from what little I know, it seems to me that the easiest way to screw up performance is to: (1) raise the center of gravity; and (2) raise the

Actually, I think an electric motorcycle is interesting.

@Drew: excellent advice. It’s probably a pipe dream though, as I have to get the wife to buy in . . .

Terrific post. I find that dealer mechanics only know how to replace units/systems. They never try to repair things. I wonder if that’s the nature of the beast these days because of how much electronics are in the cars, but gosh — seems that sometimes you don’t have to replace entire units and that you should be able

I haven’t seen any on the road.  On the other hand, I think the Supra has a problem with product differentiation.  It doesn’t really stand out in any way.  The people who want raw power will go with one of the Chrysler products (Hellcat).  People who want the fastest might go with the Mustang GT350.  Folks who want

Seems then that the best approach is to buy a very slightly used car that’s already suffered the depreciation, and then drive it for 10 years+.  I picked-up a year old Volvo v60 Polestar that listed at around $60k that had about 5k miles on it for $48k.  Planning to drive it for at least 10 years.

Any bets/over-unders on when the first video will be posted of a GT500 crashing as it departs from a coffee and cars meet?  I’m guessing within the first 60 days of when Ford starts delivering.

lol - poor car driven by an F1 driver.  He can’t even pretend that it was driven by a granny only on Sundays!

We had a Passat and a GTI.  Though they both drove well, they both suffered from quality issues, especially the Passat.  My wife won’t even look at VW’s anymore.

Question for American Auto Workers’ Union: Is it better to have lower wages and a viable auto plant, or higher wages and a failed auto plant?  Unions are critical to protect workers from the excesses of management, but they also need to let companies succeed.

I am a lawyer, practicing for over 20 years. Dr. Kamiya’s post is correct. The Appeals Court got it right. Massachusetts has a similar law, known as Chapter 93A, which is a consumer protection statute. It — like the MVSRA — is designed to protect against unfair or deceptive practices. “Mere negligence” is insufficient

I dread seeing the Statie just as much as the next person when I’m driving in excess of posted speeds (okay, I always shudder when I see a Statie).   But gosh, when the sh-t hits the fan, I want them there.  Salute to the police.

Pretty much a no-go in the States.

It’s tricky.  On the one hand, the workers made concessions to enable GM to stay afloat and to make a profit.  GM has indeed made profits during the last few boom years.  Now the workers want their share, because they had made the earlier concessions.  The timing is bad -- not their fault, because their contract is

For those of us of a certain age - it’s Betamax vs. VHS all over again.  Ironically, even though VHS won, it’s disappeared since.

Incredible record.  Obviously very foolish and risky to others.  But we’re only young once, it can’t be helped.

Okay.  Then there’s me.  I’m 51, and I used to ride motorcycles before we had kids.  When they graduate from college, I’ll have the disposable income to buy a motorcycle.  So am I the target audience?  I would not buy this product because (1) it’s too expensive; (2) years of hostility by the H-D crowd towards non-H-D

I can’t imagine that H-D intended this to happen or is masking an effort to reconsider its electric motorcycle strategy. It’s just too embarrassing a path for a company to follow unless forced to do so.

My wife just had a great experience buying a new car. She test drove an Audi A4, a used Audi S3, a used Volvo S90, and a new Volvo S60. She ended up buying the Volvo S60, but she had a ton of fun with the test drives, and the dealers were very polite to her. She ended up with a very good price, and she loves the car.

I would use the money to put ONE of my kids through (almost) four years of college.  But that’s just me.
