I have a Volvo v60 Polestar and I really enjoy the car. It’s fast and the suspension is terrific. Mine was the last generation I-6 engines.  I live in the Northeast so I also appreciate how I can drive in the snow and poor weather in general without much concern. Moreover, where I live, there aren’t many opportunities

Buyers/consumers just have to refuse to play the branding/dealership game.  If the dealer won’t give me the price that I want, I walk away.  If enough buyers had the same attitude, then dealers would not be able to play these games.  But if a buyer gets fixated on the latest Ford, because they’re a “Ford Man,” then

I’d like to run my Volvo v60 Polestar in LeMans, preferably with a kid in the back seat and dog in the far back. The other cars should be BoP’d to make the race fair so I have a chance to win.

We call them, “Pious.”  Their drivers have a holier than thou attitude that’s infuriating.

Is it the same chassis, suspension, and underbody as the last (outdated) model, just with a new skin? The manual transmission, however, is great.

I owned an Acura Integra back in 1988, when I was in college.  LOVED the car.  Sporty with a stick shift, and useful with a hatchback.  I think it was foolish for Acura to have built up a great reputation for the Integra only to jettison it for the alpha-numeric naming system that changed every few years.  No idea

You’re probably right. That’s even more meta! . . Your point is that it’s an extravagance, just for the sake of being extravagant. My point was that while the owners suggest it reflects sophistication, it doesn’t. I think that I may like your point better. But to take your point further, if the trunk and stuff are not

I like the boat tail design as I think it finishes the rear of the car very well.

Could they be collecting financial information to sell to third parties?

I’ve been taking my family on cruises for many years. We live in the Northeast where the winters are long, and the many months of cold and dark gets on my wife’s nerves. So we decided to take an annual warm weather vacation every year during our kids’ February school break. It splits up the winter and gives us

From the dealer’s perspective, he’s arguing free market should set price. Classic high demand, low supply, the most efficient way of distributing the limited goods would be higher price. The problem is when the consumer says, fine. Let’s play by free market rules. If I don’t like the way you price your cars, I can go

As you and others have pointed out, the solar panels do not supply 100% of energy needs, you have to stay connected to the grid, and it will take 15 years + to recoup the investment. On the other hand, KUDOS. This kind of stuff takes one-step-at-a-time. The more people who install solar, the cheaper the installations

More horsepower, better brakes, better suspension.  Undo all of it with excessive camber so you have no contact patches.    Is it just me????

I think it’s really, really hard to be consistently funny, week in and week out, for year on end. When we go to a comedy show, it’s usually the “best of” jokes that the comedian’s selected and arranged to carefully modulate the mood of the crowd. The fact that SNL has been around for so long suggests to me that it’s

They’re being responsible. Can’t really fault them for that.

I am under the impression that most press photos do not include a license plate.  I notice that the photos above all include a plate, perhaps to break-up the great expanse of grille. If that’s so, it should seem to be a hint to BMW if its own marketing department thinks it’s necessary to include the plates . . .

yeah - I understand why the manufacturers do it, but why people buy these????

I just don’t understand the whole “performance” SUV thing. SUV’s are supposed to be up off the ground so you can take them offroad, have offroad suspension to handle the offroad, and large enough to carry things. Performance cars are supposed to be low to the ground for a low center of gravity, stiff suspension to

I am fully prepared to be criticized for my list:
