What determines a trucks classification? I understand the point being made re: an F150 vs a Cybertruck not being an “apples to apples” comparison, but from the perspective of the consumers, isn’t is?
I actually know people who are eagerly anticipating these things to be released. The price tag looks high compared to a Jeep, but remember - there are a lot of people that spend that kind of money on Porsches, Lamborghinis, and Ferraris without batting an eye. You can bet your ass that I’ll be in line for a…
I haven’t been this interested in a new car in a very very long time.
I’ve seen press documentation that shows this thing lowering itself to receive payload - not saying you don’t have a point with respect to the bedsides being high (that seems to be the most common issue I’ve seen with this thing), but it’s totally possible that Tesla has addressed that with it’s air suspension.
The suspension “kneels” for loading. Not unheard of, but definitely not something you find on commercially available trucks.

They hit this thing with a sledgehammer during the demo and it didn’t make a mark. The windows didn’t fare as well.
In all seriousness - this is the most practical vehicle I’ve ever seen. It completely skips aesthetics altogether in pursuit of utility. As a truck, I get it, and I love it.
Strongly disagree. Trucks don’t have to be pretty - they just have to work. For the purposes of discussion lets just give Tesla the benefit of the doubt and assume this truck is capable of the performance they claim at the price point they claim. Assuming thats the case, there literally isn’t a single Truck on the…
There are standards car companies have to follow to get vehicles on the road. Unless you have evidence to suggest this thing is somehow more dangerous than anything else on the road, your comment isn’t particularly productive.
I’m with you - I think this is great. A truly spartan utility truck with high performance where it counts is a great thing!
I don’t mind being in the minority on this - I like it.
Anything about Can-Am
19x what though? The ones referenced above are 19x11.
How could you have a problem with this?? You should be commending Jaguar for making something like this available. They’re directly supporting car enthusiasts by manufacturing rare and desirable parts.
Yes, but the one in the show wasn’t a “fake” GNX, in that it wasn’t trying to pose as a GNX. It was a Grand National, which is exactly what it said on the badges.
