Driver probably won’t do time. It’s a terrible thing to have happened, but it’s very likely that a huge number of people would have probably hit the pedestrian under those same circumstances. Highly doubt a jury of her peers would convict her of involuntary manslaughter or reckless/negligent homicide.

I don’t believe that, even for a second. Where are you getting that information from.

I actually like that thing, but I doubt the Bronco we get will look anything like that. My guess is that Ford will surprise everyone by building something that looks surprisingly similar to the cool concept that was presented in 2005.

Would be pretty cool in a mini though.

LS1, 2, and 3 are a little on the common/boring side, but lets not lump the LS7 together with those. Dry sump + titanium connecting rods and valves + 427 CID = something special (IMO)

I’d personally love to see someone build a Macan Turbo for rally racing.

They are absolutely Porsches. Porsche is an automotive manufacturer that builds well thought out and neatly built luxury cars. They have applied their considerable knowledge and resources to build what they consider to be the ideal utility vehicles for it’s customers, and I would say they have succeeded.

I just looked it up - apparently it isn’t “by law,” but yea you’re right. Crazy. Learned something new.

FORMER Presidents are banned from driving??

This is less of a Raptor and more of a Colorado ZR2 w/ diesel (which is a good thing).

To be fair - if you were to take that 454 SS and spend a small amount of money modifying it, as I would suspect 80% of the target market for that truck did, you would very easily be making 500-600 hp while still retaining docile street manners.

it’s entirely possible that the car wasn’t even in autopilot mode.

nah, that isn’t true. most guys I know with the high dollar restomods do all the maintenance work on them themselves, and also make adjustments and changes as they go. the car is just one part of the hobby.

Most of that is due to improvements in tire technology. Also, most people aren’t buying vintage muscle cars exclusively out of an interest in their performance. For those that are interested in performance, early muscle cars are extremely cheap and easy to make fast, without even making any modifications that can’t

The demand for Muscle Cars is definitely not just limited to the US. I’m also not sure why you don’t think it “transcends generations.” Muscle cars like Camaros, Mustangs, and ‘Cudas are iconic. As long as there is demand for collectible cars, there will be a demand for vintage muscle cars.

You think an entire generation is just going to up and “get their shit together.” Nah man. I don’t think so.

I’m surprised. I thought this post would be about the absurd prices that cars like Porsche 964 and E30 M3 are selling for.

Why do his employees stay with him if they’re so underpaid?

Maybe it’s boring as a spectator, just because everything is so overpowered, but I can promise you that it isn’t boring for the people that are buying and driving these cars. You can now buy a 600+ hp car with a factory warranty. There is literally nothing boring about that.

Echoing what someone else has already said - in a high hp forced induction application, running a tad rich at WOT is a lot safer than running lean and getting early detonation.
