Consumer confidence is only hurt by the oil and gas lobby spreading BS stories about EVs. Things like parking lots and roads needing to be strengthened (there are plenty of ICE vehicles way heavier than EVs), that the electric grid will collapse (it won’t), that EVs all catch fire (they don’t). EVs have a mountain to

1st gear - it will be here “next year” right along with FSD.

Does Andretti have the balls to lose for the first 10 seasons before becoming competitive? That’s the key question. My guess is not. My guess is that they’re expecting to win right off the bat based on the name alone, and when they fail, fail and fail again, they’ll lose interest and bail out. The extra races in the

I wish more people would admit this. Almost every ICE driver I talk to says “I fill up in 3 minutes and I’m gone”. Except nobody on a road trip fills up in 3 minutes, especially not if they have a partner or family with them. Including waiting for a pump, everyone getting something to eat and drink, everyone having to

TL:DR - it allegedly survived and they didn’t film the landing. In reality, it probably totally fucked up the front-right corner. But they didn’t show it probably for legal reasons.

NONE

European here. You guys can’t reverse-park? It’s not taught or tested in the driving test? What’s the problem here? Pull past the space with your indicator on, reverse into it. Done.

Politico says that keeping cabin temperatures down would require airlines to burn more fuel”

Burning man is NOT for the rich. The rich have ruined it by doing what they do but the OG burning man never had these pansy “fully catered, fully organised, package Burning Man” things. You rocked up in what you had and you got drunk and high and listened to EDM and trance for 5 days, enjoyed weird and wonderful art

Counterpoint. Liberty media have bitched for ages about wanting to make F1 more “accessible” and here we are with $38k ticket packages, threats to shine lights into hotel rooms and erect billboards so the have-nots can’t see any part of the circuit. Then there’s the BS “walkaround” tickets that allow you to walk

A paddock is a paddock. It’s not F1's fault that the locals are too dumb to know basic words in the English language or worse still - they’re SO dumb they think F1 named this one specific building, specifically in Las Vegas, specifically after a mass shooter?

When you live somewhere like Salt Lake City, which is a pollution hellhole, EVs are a sensible choice no matter what. And they all decrease our dependency on domestic oil (drilling, spillages, destruction of everything) and foreign oil (because foreign oil).

Kevin wasn’t at a KOA was he? Otherwise he would have either been prevented from plugging in to the outlet, or been charge for it. KOA are getting extremely militant about this now. If you rock up in an EV, they’ll check on you regularly to make sure you’re not plugged into the 14-50 outlet, charging.

PHEVs are the worst of both worlds. The battery won’t take a fast charge. On electric, you’re dragging around the extra weight of an ICE and fuel. And on gas, you’re dragging around the extra weight of electric motors and a battery. If you’re not ready for full electric, get a regular hybrid.

I tend to upgrade my iPhone based on the cameras, more than anything else. The periscope zoom is absolutely a reason for me to switch up this time around (skipped the last two)

Hopefully, Tesla can fix that tiny little very dangerous thing before FSD v12 is released to the public”

Our company (a major aerospace company) is trying the same hardball tactics and it’s definitely not worked out well for the company. So far on my team alone (of 16 people), 7 people have walked. And walked into jobs that paid better and guaranteed remote work.

Methinks gamers don’t understand that “boundless” is not a state any game can achieve. At the very least, rebasing the engine to deal with wandering too far from the local origin point (ie where you land) is going to be necessary. Game engines have notoriously shite math precision once you wander away from 0,0,0.

If you’d not already left, Twitter:

(b) here’s all the reason you need now

They still need to give us access to Nest Protects and to properly set up Nest Learning Thermostat schedules through the home app before they can it completely. The home app’s (in)ability to set thermostat schedules is a joke.
