There’s no “getting used to” the official app. It’s utter junk. You can’t find what you want because your feed is stuffed with spam, ads and suggestions filling 8 out of every 10 items.

I feel for the authors of excellent apps like Apollo. They’re realistically the only way to use Reddit right now. Reddit’s website and their official app are both utter junk and full of so much spam, forced ads and popups that you can’t actually find the content most of the time. u/Spez cut off all the app developers…
Subscription tiers. You don’t need ads to make money. Although they have so much money you wonder why they want or need any more. It’s not like they’re using it for the betterment of their customers or service.
The fact that Kia are the ones in shortest supply (selling quick) vs Stellantis/FCA being in the longest supply (can’t move them at all) is not at all surprising.
Forced ads are a thing of the past - that’s 1990's thinking. Youtube have the data - I’m betting not a single ad plays more than the required 4 second before it’s skipped. ie. they’re pointless. The more you try to force people to watch ads, the more they’ll find ways to not do so. Youtube makes billions off paid…
We so desperately need facilities like GridServe in the UK or Sortimo in Germany. I stopped to charge there on a trip to Germany a month or so ago and it was an absolute pleasure. Great environment. Shop, restaurant, clean toilets, places to sit and wait....
Alright - we have the first contender for junk NACS chargers that are always broken, offline or running at 25% capacity!
“first-of-its-kind combination of the best of every vacation” ?
It’s sad that people have to be told this. I mean it’s good that you’ve published this but the idea that people drive around without knowing if they have a recirculate button and if so, what it does, makes me cringe. I used to commute (for a while) around the part of Denver where the traffic backed up between the meat…
Let’s hope EA don’t jump on-board or we’ll end up with junk EA NACS chargers too.
Superchargers are already over-subscribed and under-capacity - that’s why there’s lines at all of them. Adding all these new vehicles to that list? Yeah it’s going to get way more ugly before it gets better. Tesla stans aren’t going to like seeing non-Tesla’s “taking our chargers”. At least if the ones with magic…
Wait, what? European here - you’re not allowed to fill your own car with petrol in Oregon? What the actual fuck? It’s not 1950 any more ....
Or - and hear me out here - instead of spending $100k on a pavement princess with appalling gas-mileage and handling, while complaining you have no money left, perhaps buy something more relevant to the 6 miles a day you drive, never towing anything or using the truck bed.
There you go, fixed the headline for you. That thing didn’t make it more than an hour into the water. Tourist puree shark food is what they should be looking for.
Unless you have an endless pit of cash to make a decent, light-tight room with a decent projector, screen, amp and a ton of balanced speakers in it, you’re really just going to get anything like the cinema experience from a cheap 4k TV and a sound bar in your living room. I suspect the poor turnout was because people…
This wasn’t a “snafu”. This is Elon Musk we’re talking about, with a completely re-regulated, un-moderated Twitter. This was absolutely deliberate.
FWIW when I owned a Tesla, I f0und those handles to be flimsy and unreliable. It didn’t help that they had to change the port in the car three times because of problems with it. In the end they could never solve it - it would never charge at a supercharger and at home it would disconnect after a few minutes because…
This is nothing new. If you’re burning pureed dinosaurs, you lose the same amount of efficiency when towing. The only difference is that it’s quicker to refill.
So now we can get to the apex of shite “voice assistants” twice as quickly? Yay. Maybe do something useful with Siri instead. Like - I don’t know - make it work? Or allow it to understand context? I have the most vanilla of UK accents and it barely ever gets more than 20% of what I say. Most of the time it just stops…
Speaking as someone who worked for a VR company in 1994 - the first time VR failed, and another company in 2000 - the second time it failed, and the same company that tried again in 2008 and 2018 - the third and fourth times it failed - I can say you’re absolutely correct. VR, AR and XR are solutions without…
