I’ve got a few minor issues with it, but overall think it’s a good idea.

I’m honestly surprised something like the Envoy XUV hasn’t made a comeback as a fullsize SUV/truck.

While Lucid cars are great, I’m not sure their Saudi backing makes them a morally better company.

No Saab 9-4x on the list?  I’m surprised.

I’ve been riding for a decade; the number of times I’ve really really wanted is like once or twice. That was on my FIL’s Harley Heritage .

Strong disagree. While oil companies (or whatever industry you want to pick) has a “Carbon Footprint” millions of times higher than Swift, it doesn’t negate that Swift herself doesn’t have a carbon footprint hundreds, thousands or even millions of times higher than a typical person.

Ehhh, I disagree. Is it even worse as a production vehicle? Yes. But if Tesla had released some concept exactly like this (while also releasing a far more reasonable production truck that wasn’t like the Cybertruck) it would have been way better.

First, do they not realize the side windows don’t matter nearly as much as the pilot’s windows?

This is why I try to do most of my riding on divided bike lanes and separated trails/paths. I often feel stupid loading up my car with my bicycle to drive ~3 miles to the bike path where I’ll then ride for ~30 miles, but there simply isn’t enough safe bike infrastructure to get me there during high traffic times.

I don’t doubt the validity that allowing blacks to buy their vehicles helped save Cadillac, I’m simply suggesting that there are claims made in this piece (as well as the original) that aren’t actually backed up with any proof. That’s not exactly great journalism.

I could see these being awesome in relatively narrow use cases; things like parking garages. Outside in most of America (well, the world really) it seems like the elements would really shorten the life of these. Add in snow plow risks in ~half the US and suddenly these don’t seem great.

No it doesn’t. It also makes a large claim without much backing it up, though, it is a bit clearer in the reasoning behind Dreystadt’s intentions behind the move. It wasn’t to improve sales volumes, but rather, an attempt to directly capture a bit more profit.

You’d think this article would have some better numbers. Maybe a few years of sales numbers, and then sales numbers to black people over those years. I’m not doubting it’s true, but what the fuck is the point of a whole entire article if virtually none of it backs up the headline. The headline could have served as the

Chevrolet says a “base” Bison is a hair over $60k. Seems like the Ranger Raptor is the deal in the segment at $55.6k; I would have thought for sure the Bison would have undercut the Raptor, though, is it possible the “plain” ZR2 is a better comparison to the Ranger Raptor?

They are virtually non-existent in Upstate. I haven’t seen one in a good 10, 15, maybe even 20 years. They used to be more common.

As much as I love Spa, Silverstone is a better option in my opinion. It’s typically the best race of the season.

The freakin’ glove box is accessed via the screen.

Admittedly I said most are tied to that guy. But the others are:

The Y and the 3 have the longest pro/con list of any vehicle I’ve ever done.  So many good things about them, but simultaneously so many bad things.  The catch is that most of the bad things seem fixable by getting rid of just one guy...

However, women consume less life support than men and they don’t suffer from an endless partial erection in zero g like men do.
