If this whole Garage 56 Nascar thing has taught us anything, it’s that Nascar should bring back functional headlights.  Simply replacing the stickers with actual housings makes the car look better.  Having them actually work (obvious with this race) would be the cherry on top.

To be fair, it’s a lot more complicated than that. If you wanted to sum it up into one short sentence, a more accurate one would likely be “Upfront costs and long-term operational security form large hurdles to nuclear powered ships.”

Now playing

This car is really cool, and really nice looking, but I feel like Chris Bangle when he questioned Jason Castriota about the Saab Phoenix.

The front is great, from the back wheels and back, it’s just... not quite right. The tail light comes too close to the side windows, the rear pillar is massively thick, the gas door is a weird shape, the wheel opening also seems a slightly odd shape, and the back bumper kinda looks like a kids diaper from the side.

Especially for a brand who has built so much of their design around headlights; this is cool, but it looks almost unrecognizable as a Porsche.

Going by all the flips on Zillow, it’s still surprisingly trendy. Grey floors, grey walls, white countertops, grey cabients, grey grout...

I’ve seen blue... but they always seem to be some weird school that has “Penitentiary” in the name.

I’ll rephrase: If you have to spend $280 to have an enjoyable date night, your personality is shit, and/or the person you are with has a shit personality.

If your personality is so shit that you need more than $280 to get laid, sounds more like “You” problem.

Who says you have to buy the parts?  Why not just ignore the stuff you don’t need, but then stock up on those cabin air filters if they come available.

Sales of the previous gen Ranger were weak because it hadn’t gotten any meaningful attention/update in years.  It was dated, had mediocre fuel economy, and wasn’t really a great financial offering.  Who would expect such a combination to sell very well?

Adding a 3rd shift only helps if suppliers can keep up.  Also, logistically, supporting a 3rd shift creates other needs/issues, like ability for the facility to efficiently handle the additional amount of parts moving throughout the area, or the more frequent deliveries...

What’s not to get?  It’s small, fuel efficient, and has a half-way decent sized bed.  It can drive you to work every day with virtually zero compromises, it can also haul a small family camping, or handle plenty of trips from HomeDepot.

I've got a 4WD, and I'll be honest, it's rare that I have to actually switch to 4HI and even rarer that I've got to switch to 4LO. Most of the time a decent set of tires are far handier than the number of driven wheels. But there have been plenty of times during regular use that something with AWD and proper tires

It seems a lot of Jalops hate pick-ups. If you so much as throw somewhat knobbier tires on there, the comment section becomes a lot of clucking about "Bro truck!"

Senior Transmission was a great friend of mine, and he loved enchiladas.

Why not?

I must be the only person that kinda like minivans. Sure, they aren't my first choice, but you can bet your ass I'm getting a minivan before I get a CRV, RAV4 or many of the other cross-overs out there. Plus, the minivans out there have pretty stout engines.

What was your take on the Cherokee? Also, the Tiguan is priced right with the competition listed here, only undercut by the Escape.
