You are confusing engineering and technology.

Engineering and technology are two very different things. From an engineering perspective, the Veyron is impressive. All that engine producing all that power, and reliably. But technologically, there ain't much new.

It just says "non approved cable" or something like that and the phone still charges. I use one at my apartment for my GF's phone all the time. I got it for dirt cheap off eBay.

I pulled the numbers straight from the respective manufactures websites.

Nothing about that list is that impressive.

Was it very high tech? It was just a lot of cylinders, a lot of displacement and a lot of turbos.

Yes and no. You'll most likely get your extra expenditure for the diesel back when it comes to resale. Also, in real-life conditions, you are getting twice the gas mileage with the EcoDiesel as you do with the 3.5 EcoBoost. That means diesel can cost twice as much as gasoline, and you'll break even. It's not like

Reversibility is the only valid point.

Apple will continue to try to force FireWire and the Lightning cord or whatever it is.

That needs to change. We, the enthusiasts, demand it.

Is today's question going to be "10 things we want back in cars?" I think it should.

My favorite was when it was less complex. Sure, RedBull wasn't the constructor, but it was a simple and elegant livery.

Chevy's 5.3L Ecotec vs 3.5L Ecoboost

What is Ford? They're attractive products, almost universally. They're market conquering trucks. With EcoBoost I suppose they're a little have-your-cake-and-eat-it-too. There's no coherence in any of this, though.

As production cars tend to be, it's a little less radical than the concept version, pictured below. The front bumper and headlamps are a little different, and the front air diffuser has been toned down a bit. Still, it's a good-looking hot hatch, and one that seems worthy of the Type R name.

I wonder what it would actually cost in parts to get a Renegade to that. I also wonder how hard it is for a back yard mechanic to do this. Hopefully it's pretty simple. If it is, I think I might have to go see how big the back seat it...

Hamlin's tires were off by 1.5 PSI.

The 425 had around 40 hp more than the 401. That's nothing to sneeze at and I certainly wouldn't call it a wash

'65 gets you access to the GS package (that sweet sweet Super Wildcat 425... though I'm sure gas mileage is even worse), and the tail lights are way better.
