This is my dog Bell. Whenever I leave her at home alone for too long (i.e. Go take out the recycling) she will grab something of mine to cuddle with on the couch. Here she is with my purse, looking like she is about to go run errands.

I follow iohrhappytails. It’s an account of a shelter in NYC, and it’s just pictures of people with their newly adopted pets. They’re always really happy, and if you’re an animal lover it is a nice pick-me-up.

I don’t have kids, so it is admittedly easier for me. But I wake up early enough to make sure that I have quiet time in the morning. I have my coffee and catch up on the news in complete silence, and that helps me to at least start the day feeling sane.
