The problem is setting up playlists in whatever way you want, in the exact order that I want. I’ve yet to see an app that can do that. I will say that Downcast is my favorite of said apps.

All I want to know is whether or not they are going to fix their once perfect, now hideous, podcast app. It used to wonderful, you could set up playlists exactly how you wanted them and then step by step they made it more and more awful. I now have an old ipod that I refuse to update because it has the last remaining

My new thing is doing the eggs in an electric pressure cooker. Cook on high for 5 minutes, natural release for 5 minutes, ice bath for 5 minutes. The shells slip right off. Prior to that, steaming was my cook of choice. And always with eggs that are not super fresh.

I should think she’d be relieved the series was over and dreading the possibility of it coming back. It went from pure awesomeness into a seriously boring soap opera. I loved this show S1, all that music, all that insidery stuff. Then it turned into every night time soap ever made. I made it through half this season

Okay, so I bit. Clearly you’re the middleman here. What? Do they pay you off in free bottles? “Goddamn the Pusher Man” as Curtis would say. Anyhoo... It really is lovely stuff and thus far has worked on every single food item I’ve put it on. Thank you!

I am obsessed with cashew cream lately. So easy to make and can be used very effectively as a sub for both eggs and cream. I haven't seen any recipes like this one though, where a cream wasn't made first by soaking the cashews. This recipe definitely looks try worthy.

Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. It’s also the best ever final touch on mac and cheese. Because even more cheese. And to top baked potatoes with a little run under the broiler.

This was, hands down, one of the greatest Housewives episode of any franchise ever. It was epic. I gotta say though that Bethany, who I’ve always kind of loved, has become completely evil. She was always kind of sharpish, but it’s like now she just goes straight to evisceration. It’s enormously fun to watch, but it

Back in the olden days, a lot of NY apartments had transoms over the front door, like blinds you could open or close. They were wonderful and pretty much guaranteed some nice cross-ventilation. I swear, I haven’t one in over 40 years.

I’ve left a couple of bad Yelp reviews for legitimately bad service. Only after trying to get said problem sorted first. It is a last resort kind of thing. I’d much rather the problem be fixed. I don’t really pay much attention to Yelp reviews for restaurants and such because people can get crazy over the steak being

I don’t think I would use the dressing on pasta salad, because “Ewww, pasta salad,” but I think it would be amazing on pretty much anything else. I’m definitely making it.

Also, fresh air. Get some fresh air into the place. For apartment dwellers, especially in urban areas without cross ventilation, that can be harder than you think. No matter how clean your digs are, if you’ve got nothing but rank, stale air in there, it will smell musty. Any day that is even remotely okay for full

My company is absolutely horrible when it comes to overtime pay. They give it to all low paying jobs, I’d say anything around 35K and below, but on a pure 40 your work week. So if you work 9 to 5, they count lunch as an hour and therefore don’t pay you until 6pm. And if you have a sick day, or there’s a holiday, or an

Would this work? I mean I guess for some drinks, more scotch/rye/bourbon based it might, but for lighter drinks, things with a cleaner taste, I think all you’d taste is beer.

I essentially wear a uniform to work. Same cut of khakis, in black and tan. Two different cuts of shirts (short and 3/4 length sleeves), each in a rainbow of colors. Everything goes with everything. The khakis and shirts are a bit loose fitting. It’s essentially PJ’s at work. And flats.

This looks interesting. I generally make my lemonade making a simple syrup using the peels (bring it all to a boil until the syrup is fully dissolved and then letting it sit until cooled). Then I add the lemon juice previously extracted. I keep it in the fridge that way and just add it to ice water as I go. I’m really

I love it both ways. It’s so good for stews and tossed into ramen or used for fried rice when it’s all old and stinky. I grew up on kimchi and it always makes me happy.

I don't understand why you would use a pressure cooker to make kimchi. You don't cook it. You just allow it to ferment. And say, you just want it as a closed vessel, You're way better of with a Lock & Lock food storage container for the fermentation process and then, I guess glass pints for what you want to give away.

Over the last few months I have grown to love Kesha. She just seems so fragile but so tough as nails at the same time, you know? And brave as shit. That tattoo is totally homegrown, so it should go away fairly quickly.

This is my current favorite. From HautTotes on Etsy.
