I have the classic duck in a couple of colors. They’re really sturdy. Pretty decent tote at a decent price. It’s not a number one for me because the top doesn’t zip and it’s not water-resistant/proof.
The standard nylon Baggu, which I use for shopping would never work for a regular tote. They're workhorses and will

I have this tote and I absolutely love it. It's lightweight and waterproof, nice and roomy. Its only downside is that it doesn't have a single pocket insinside. I have my name monogrammed on it in the same color as the darkest color patch.

This app sounds great except for surge pricing. I mean, if I order a car right now for a 445pm pickup my charge can be anything from no surge to double pricing. On a day by day basis, one just never knows. Is there a way to keep a cap on that?

It’s the fraud that bothers me more than anything else. None of my olive oils are on the “bad” list and I buy my parm-reg in wedges. I will grate until the cows come home just so I can have the hard ends to simmer into soups and such.

Do you think one could do this with less sugar? Like half or 2/3? Two parts fruit to one part sugar seems like it would be awfully sweet.

I do this almost always. I started just to cut calories on the hummus, but ended up preferring it to the non-yogurt version. I usually make my own hummus, and it still makes it better.

If I can just add something to my earlier chainmail love post. Yes, it’s great on cast iron, but I wouldn’t use it every single time. It’s for taking off the gunk. I think daily usage would eventually start to wear away the seasoning, especially with newer pans.

She carefully drapes it over the dish rack, or uses it like a doily under a vase of flowers. :-)

I love that chainmail scrubber SO much. So much that I don’t even mind missing out of such a good deal. It will last forever, looks very cool on the counter, and confuses my cleaning lady every time she comes across it.

I’ve been going crazy making the sorbets lately. A couple of days ago I did strawberry/guava/basil/aged balsamic vinegar. I almost died it was so good. Basil works beautifully with sweet/tart flavors. Oh, it was also gorgeous.

Oh, that does sound nice!

I usually tart mine up with lightly browned minced garlic in a good amount of olive oil, salt, and pepper. It is messy and insanely delicious.

Does this use a quick release or a natural release? They don’t mention and it kind of makes a difference, both in time and in the end product.

The Great British Bakeoff is my all time favorite food contest show. Lovely British people making lovely baked goods. No snarking, no back-biting, no meanness whatsoever. No I’m not even that much of a sweet bake fan, but I drool over their stuff. I dream of biscuits and passion fruit gelee and cakes that look like

Martha, I adored her. It was on season before last on PBS.

Ted Cruz has the face of a man who jacks off to the boy scout underwear he has hidden in the back of his closet. And who also smells faintly of mildew, even fresh from the shower.

Sword and Scale, a most excellent true crime podcast had a really good episode on this case, and threw in a couple of others too. It was absolutely fascinating. I get the fetal homicide law, if it was just being used in the killing of a an unborn during a crime, you know? But I really doubt it would only be used that

Yep, that’s pretty much it, and a thing of beauty it is. I really want biscuits and gravy right now. Thanks!

What is also very helpful to the test is to have some sausage gravy awaiting the biscuits. Because even if they’re a tad overdone, the gravy will make it all go away. Plus - sausage gravy.
