I really wish they had brought back the classic status bar at the bottom of the screen with the animated facial graphic included. Obviously it would have to be updated and made slicker but I think it’s a huge missed opportunity.

sadly it looked like they’re necessary to effect a kill in a lot of moments. enemies looked crazy bullet spongey. not super pumped from this.

Is there a way to disable the finishers (besides avoiding them entirely)? They really seem to slow down the flow of gameplay by pulling you into a precanned animation for 2 seconds.

Ship out 10,000 decks, for starters; it’s basically turned out to be a pre-order. There is nothing particularly risky about printing out decks of cards; you’d have to be particularly incompetent or malicious to screw that up. The goal was clearly lowballed.

AFAIK Mojang was still in the hands of Notch when the WiiU launched. He would’ve never allowed Minecraft anywhere near a Nintendo console, he’s made this quite clear with his immature tweets bashing them and their platforms.

Your confusion lies in thinking that mobile “game” developers are in the game’s industry. They aren’t. They are in the novelty app industry... the digital equivalent of spencer gifts. The game doesn’t have to be good, or turn into a franchise or any of that. It just needs to be made very cheaply and be marketed well…

I wonder if the lesser investment most mobile gamers have in their games (and I stress -most-, as my wife plays a couple of games on her phone that she’s almost as dedicated too as the stuff she plays on PC and console) is to blame for the lack of a “seasoned developer” ecosystem on mobile platforms?
