I’m sure the shopkeepers, restaurant owners, hotel managers, and uber drivers are likewise pissed at having so many people with so much disposable income walking around looking to spend it all.

Multiple things can intersect and be true at once if you consider the history at play here.
If tiktok closed for other reasons, we’d have an alternative and everyone would have forgotten tiktok in about 2 weeks. I don’t wanna be the “I’ve been on the internet since the 90s” guy but... wait.... I am that guy. Anyone care about myspace, icq, webcrawler? Let it die and be replaced by something even more stupid…
I believe the topic in question is that this app is a national security risk, so I don’t see how “tik tok should exist because of the funny memes” is a relevant defense against that.
Since all of the gizmodo family editors are doing these, can someone do “top 50 white nationalist recruitment propaganda on tiktok” next? How about “top 30 illegal/cruel tiktok pranks”? “99 tiktoks that induce body dismorphia in teens and teach them unhealthy/pseudoscience ‘cures’ for their perceived inadequacies 🤫🧏”…
The problem with the endings is that Mass Effect was pitched as having meaningful choices with persistent, long-term consequences. The endings should have been the culmination of the choices you made across the three games.
“Organics and synthetics can’t live together in harmony”
Odds are they won’t release a version with everything in it. They could’ve added it to Persona 3 Portable at any time and didn’t. Not even when it got ‘remastered’ for console/pc release.
Zack, I like a lot of your writing here on Kotaku, but as someone who has been following the story, the headline makes it sound like Eidos recently told Elias Toufexis STFU, perhaps in response to his earlier comments about the death of Deus Ex, when, in reality, they told him to STFU 4 years ago.
I think alterations to the original material is a “dammed if you do dammed if you don’t” situation. Thinking from that perspective, it seems logical to not allocate resources to change these. Also, we don’t see Hollywood making any of these types of changes to their re-releases. Not sure if this deep a criticism is…
Totally missed that we covered this previously and have updated the story to make a reference to that and acknowledge that this is the full release of the hack following that tease last year.
The appeal comes from the progression. You start with nothing and build your way up to having badass weapons and armor and majestic castles and stuff.
When a service costs not to run than it earns it’s going to be switched off. It’s simple. I’m also not sure that Nintendo gives a toss that you don’t have kids!
So I skimmed a bit to not read too much, but if i may ask how important is Gaiden due to Kiryu being a major (ish) part of the game. I don’t actually care to much for Kiryu, finding other characters like Majima, Saejima, and Akiyama far more interesting or fun (depending on the game, I seem to alternate loving and…
Damn, it’s been a while since I beat the first game that I forgot they had French accents. So I can see why switching to English is jarring.
I’m actually loving the game, but it’s been so long since I played the first game that I didn’t notice. Now I need to go back and watch a YouTube video or something.
This game commits a cardinal sin for me in games. The dreaded work hard to make your way thru a level and almost make it and then get killed. NOW GO BACK TO THE BEGINNING OF THE AREA AND DO IT ALL AGAIN. ARGH!!!!! Frustrating combat and A.I. too.
“...delivers similar moral quandaries to the original while switching its still formidable voice actors’ accents from French to British.”
