I think there is something else that's different way Nintendo other than the not selling part. Skyrim Special Edition has been sold for under $10 years ago, I bought The Witcher 3 for under $10. All very successful games and depending on personal preference much better than Mario Kart or pretty much anything Nintendo

even that wouldn’t have been much if you spread it out over the 5 years since the game’s release”

7.5 years ago, the same game and it still costs $60! No other video game company would get away with this. If the base game was on any other platform by any other company it would sell for $10.

All the benefits I would have had if I wasn’t a loyal Nintendo customer who bought a WiiU, Mario Kart 8 and a Switch relatively early...

I paid so much money for Mario Kart 8 and DLC on the WiiU, I just cannot see myself ever buying it again.

Is it me or do these musou spinoffs just feel like cheap cash-ins on popukar IP. Few people seem to be really into musous, but applying the IP as a skin seems pretty ready with almost any IP.

Definitely lots of techno babble and certainly not hard scifi either. It tries to keep it scifi though and doesn’t outright omit that and go streight to wizards

I’ve been to the area of today's solution several times and still had a hard time. Also made me wonder how areas get handled that belong to other countries, but aren't connected to them. Hawaii or Samoa are examples for the US.

Isn’t one of them fantasy in space rather than SciFi?

I hope that and not Vice City Online

Honestly, the gameplay and story seem fairly unappealing to me. The setting looks so great though! I'm just a total sucker for games that are set in modern Japan.

If they will even call it 6 and not “cities” or something like that. Maybe “GTA Metaverse” lol

The article says that it wasn’t announced as GTA 6, but dismisses that as an of course it’s 6. Given the huge shift of focus to online and micro transactions, I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if the next entry even further neglects the singles player mode to the point even that maybe this will just be an online entry

Why is this only true for PS5 users?

FYI: I’m available to take over Sony’s gaming division. I bring tech and management experience, but only ~4-5 months of gamedev experience. Happy to relocate to Japan.

I’ve been using slack for years at several companies and had no idea read-only channels even existed.

Square Enix is valued just under $6 billion. Lots of fabulous IP there way beyond Final Fantasy. Maybe buy that and make a new Sleeping Dogs...

The gameplay also wasn’t that different from 4. 4 did a big leap from 3 and they refined that in Lost Legacy. By the time I got to Lost Legacy I was kinda tired of the Uncharted gameplay. It honestly never was very good anyways. As you said, story and characters (and I think set pieces) have carried the games. Those

I caught up on all these in order about 3-4 years ago. Having played the earlier games definitely made 4 better. That said, especially the first game’s gameplay didn't age well. In general I find the gameplay off the series quite mediocre. It's the set pieces that make up for it.

Microsoft is worth about $2 trillion(!) more than Disney!
