Max spends enormous amounts in sim racing. He had said that he spends pretty much all time he isn't working in sim and prepares for 40+ hours for each of these races.

Like a musician or an athlete or an actor.
You might say the same about musical performances. This is actually quite similar as the only practical purposes is entertaining and it's similar memorization.
I wish they'd sell the Terrible Tie. I know it's supposed to be terrible, but it's also iconic and honestly the ties they are selling right now look even worse.
I’m all for letting the free market do its thing but properly taxing negative externalities. You want to mine Bitcoin? Sure but you are gonna pay through the nose for the carbon emissions, just like idiots who drive to the cinema in a giant truck and everyone else! Oh you found a way to reduce carbon emissions while…
That’s mostly true for proof of work based systems. NFTs are based mostly on Ethereum which will be moving to proof of stake soon. There are already some based on Solana and Avalanche which are much more energy efficient.
So let’s tax carbon emissions instead of picking which technologies we approve of and which we don’t. That also might speed up move to proof of stake instead of proof of work.
So you are saying they are just sitting on inventory that's not selling?
People are obviously willing to pay $1000, so the market value is $1000. Not even econ101.
I don’t get NFTs, especially due to a bunch of technical issues. However, I also don’t get the hate. If Troy wants to give it a shot, why not? It’s his business and nobody is forced to but these. Most people who are currently buying NFTs made most of their money in crypto and can well afford it. Happy to see some of…
“How often do you see scalpers hoarding stacks of consoles just waiting for a sucker to make a purchase?”
This comment makes no sense.
It seems like used PS4 Pros go for $300 on eBay and new ones on Amazon go for $500-$600 if available. So demand is definitely there.
Between Gran Turismo 7 and Rune Factory 5 being games I’ve been waiting for for years and being pretty excited about Triangle Strategy, I’m pretty sure that just the March releases will pretty much carry me through the rest of the year.
Well, the single player mode hasn't gotten a major update either. So suck it!
That or there is a CORS violation which seems to happen a lot these days. Now I'm almost tempted to debug it. Almost...
There is copies sold and how much money it brought in. It seems like Days Gone dropped in price quite quickly because it had bad reviews. I live in the PNW and was curious several times to check it out just for that reason, but the gameplay issues and reports about the annoying right-wing radio just sounded too much…
On Brave browser on iOS I can’t even properly log in. It will show me an error. However, if I then click on my profile picture I’m logged in. After any reload, I'm immediately logged out again till I click my profile again. I bet some resources are being blocked from loading and those exceptions break the JS.
Yeah, regardless what you think of crypto, Gamestop would be foolish not to try to cash in on the r/wallstreetsbets crowd and this is a great way of doing so.
If we could just have a carbon tax that properly prices in the negative externality...
