Guy doesn't like his job, rebels against the powers that be, gets cast out, founds Hell. How difficult is this to understand?

It was a weird, experimental album with only two things that could really be singles (Egg Man and Hey Ladies), where the main attraction was the production, not the rapping. It was never going to be a hit.
Based on what I remember from interviews with them, there was very little "meta" going on at that time in their lives. They were willing to laugh at themselves, but they certainly weren't placing themselves under a deep critical examination or anything.
I don’t disagree that Criminal Minded or By All Means Necessary are classic albums. They’re “important” in a way that none of his other records could be, just because they came out when they did and had the impact that they did. I just don’t think they’re as good as Sex & Violence or Return of the Boom Bap. The latter…
Huh, you learn a new thing every day. Thanks!
I really wish they were better rappers. But I always bring this up whenever they get written about here and I feel stupid about doing doing it, because they're great guys who made some great music and put on some wonderful shows, and they deserve props for that. But they're just not very good at the central part of…
Liked both for the overall accuracy and for the point that Criminal Minded is one of BDP/KRS' worst albums. That's something that never gets brought up, in my experience, but it's so true. Honestly I think the trio of Sex & Violence, Return of the Boom Bap, and KRS-ONE is his real pinnacle.

And also not being black (or at least not very much).
I think that invading Gur raq was the major mistake of the Bush administration.
I do.
Eh, they murder a lot of people.
Thanks for the history lesson, I was wrong.
The forecast isn't wrong if it gives a 30% chance of rain and it rains. Which is exactly what happened in this case.
Yes.
And the main villain of the series from now on, presumably.
I can't deal with playing these videos right now, but can someone (who knows something about Wu) tell me if the songs are any good? At some point when I don't want to stab myself in the face I'd like to listen to good Wu I haven't heard before.
It definitely won't destroy the GOP. Trump has no interest in policy. He'll rubber stamp anything they send him, so long as it doesn't raise his taxes (fat chance) or challenge his family's business interests.
