There isn't really much to be spoiled on anyways. The plot is there's a ghost and he just kind of hangs out and sometimes bothers people.

The point is that it's a ridiculous image but the director had a really strong desire to make a meaningful film based around it. I guess it's for the challenge of turning the comical into something emotional.
