I mean any opinion about how much people working on a show care or don’t care is just gonna be an opinion pulled out of someone’s ass but if anything I get the feeling that things get increasingly stiff when Harmon cares too much. It always seems to lead to him losing spontaneity because he gets too stressed out and

After a while, no matter how much you love it, it just becomes the office I’m sure.

When cartoons are new they don’t have a defined style yet so there’s less pressure to make it look like anything so the artists have more freedom. Over time shows will inevitably come to have an increasingly well defined style which creates pressure on the artists to meet the criteria for that style and to not deviate

I used to watch the show as a kid but have very little recollection of anything in particular that isn’t a meme and I had no issues keeping up. It’s a very self-contained story.

Yeah, I like his reviews so I guess they’re for me? I don’t always agree either but that’s not really the point. And it’s not really a great point to try to make to suggest that movie reviewers should only review movies they like. That’s not the point of film criticism either. If you don’t like reading his reviews

I really think this would have been amazing as the c story in a normal length episode. Like if they really condensed it and didn’t bother showing the details of how he drug his ass across the bar to fulfill his color ritual and just cut it off from before that happened to showing the gang walking back into the bar at

I was really expecting something far more unhinged than what I got. This is nothing.

Kaling’s performance was really stiff and lifeless and her timing was just so... lost. She was flat and threw off the flow of the episode by not only not fitting in with the group (which I get was the point) but not fitting in with the show’s tempo period. I don’t hate her or anything but she wasn’t a good fit here,

Ugh I hate this. Netflix’s animation budget is really shit. Gravity Falls got to be pretty damn pretty, despite some aspects of the character designs (I don’t like their eyes). Netflix ruins everything. Also their shows are too long. I’m grumpy.

If memory serves after season one Alex Hirsch wrote a blog post about how the mistakes they made in the first season, including the Dipper and Wendy storyline. The issue being that they didn’t consider how all these episodes would fit together.

However, I have seen a child shit himself and then smear poop all over the walls.

They look like two very different shitty criminals from different C movies. The guy on the left is a mob boss and the guy on the right wants to be a Bond villain but had to join a lesser low budget copycat franchise because he refused to get a better toupee.

Tell that’s to the kids in my neighborhood. They’re outside my window screaming every day. All they do is scream and throw shit around. I wish they would never go outside.

I didn’t watch classic episodes of The Simpsons for years because by the time I started getting old enough to watch it nothing before season 11 or 12 was ever on and I thought that was as good as it ever got. It was kind of weird how suddenly I recognized every single episode when I finally went through and started

So I wasn’t even trying to comment and I somehow commented “big”... so that’s something.

Big

Should people who didn’t vote for Trump lower their standards too?

God yes. All these other apologies have been ridiculously bad. Claiming to not remember one way or the other is just fucking stupid.

These jokes can’t age badly because they’re made by comedians who were calling someone out for sexual assault that they knew was being covered up. Like they were accusing him of being a predator. That was the purpose of the joke. If you are offended in retrospect but weren’t offended at the time then you just weren’t

“Naido being reduced to a placeholder for Diane is another example of Lynch’s clumsy sidelining of non-white characters. In this case, she’s not even a character, but a symbol of a character.”
